I'm addicted to vaping inside the house! I'm a complete noobie to upgrading.

I just have the regular vapor4life manual stealth batteries. I feel like I vape them so much inside that they are always running out of battery.

I'm looking for great battery life and something that will last me a while without having to recharge it. I like a good TH but not too strong. I like the clouds produced too. I was vaping 20PG/80VG and found that 30PG/70VG was better.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for exactly but I see pictures of other people's esmoking stash and they have bigger devices and I want one :D

Any advice?

Small batteries are frustrating after using them for a while. There's lots of big batt stuff on the market nowadays. I've got a few that use an 18650 battery which lasts me all day on a charge. I like the Silver Bullet from Altsmoke the best. A nice simple, durable, reliable, fixed voltage device that'll last you for years. If you're wanting to get into variable voltage there's the Lavatube from Volcano, or Provari from Provape. They use the same battery and allow you to change voltage to give you just the right amount of throat hit and vapor.

Hehe I know nothing about variable voltage...I feel like I'm starting all over again in my ecig pursuit! They don't use cartomizers right? How does it work in terms of filling the ejuice (actually that's what really frustrates me is to keep having to change carts)

Wow they are expensive!

Are you looking for an at home PV? Or do you want something that you can carry when your out too?

The silver bullet, lavatube, etc are really nice, but they are pretty big. If its just for at home then it doesn't really matter, but if your like me and are planning on carrying it with you everywhere you go, then something like a silver bullet might be kind of a pain.

Also give some more info on what your looking for. Do you want variable voltage, a higher fixed voltage like a 5V, or do you not care about having higher voltage and just want something with a bigger battery that will last a lot longer.
And another very important question is how much do you want to spend? Bc there's bigger battery PVs that you can buy for $50, and there's ones you can buy for $250.

If you dont care about higher voltage/VV and want to be able to easily carry it with you wherever you go, then I would check out something like a kGo or Epower. The slim ecig you have now is 3.7V, and the kGo and Epower are both 3.7V but will give you a LOT better battery life. The eGo is also a popular bigger battery PV, but it is only 3.3-3.4V. So while the eGo would give you much better battery life, it would actually be a downgrade voltage wise, and that's why I think a kGo or Epower would be better since their 3.7V PVs. I personally like the 3.7v PVs a lot more than an eGo bc they provide alittle more "oomph" and handle the lower resistance attys and cartos a lot better. Both the kGo and Epower have very good battery life, but are still small enough to be able to easily carry it with you in your pocket, plus their very affordable. (you can buy both kits for under $50)
Personally I use the Epower and love it. I started with a slim ecig and wanted something bigger, but still wanted it to be easily portable so I bought an Epower. The biggest difference of the Epower compared to PVs like the eGo and kGo, is that the Epower uses non-proprietary batteries like other mods do silverbullet, lavatube, reo, etc. The other difference is that everything is replaceable on the Epower and each part can be bought seperately. That was one of tens things I really liked bc with an eGo, kGo, riva, etc the battery cannot be removed and everything is one piece. So if the switch fails or you need to replace a battery, you have to rePlace the whole unit. With the Epower you can buy a switch seperately or just a battery so you don't have to replace the whole unit which makes the Epower cheaper to maintain. I also liked that Epower batteries cost $4-5 compared to eGo/kGo/riva batteries that are $14-20, and the Epower batteries last longer before they need to be replaced. The Epower batteries are 1050mah so they last a long time and I get avg a day to a day and a half on one battery, plus their small so it's easy to carry a spare. I've been really happy with the Epower bc it allows me to vape all day maintanace free. A battery lasts me all day and I use a 3.5ml carto tank so I don't have to worry about refilling throughout the day, yet even with the tank on it, I can still easily carry it in my pocket.
The kGo is really nice too even though it's a proprietary battery PV. The batteries are 1100mah so they will last a long time and it gives a great vape, plus it's very affordable.
With either one I would try the Ressurector cartos. They work awesome on the kGo and Epower and give a great vape. The boges are really nice too, but I like the Ressurectors bc they hold almost twice as much juice, which means you can refill a lot less. Now I use the Ressurectors in the 3.5ml tank so I can fill it in the morning and be good all day.
I think you'd really like the Epower or kGo and have much better battery life, without spending a lot.

If your willing to spend more though then you can choose from a wide variety of tube mods that would fit your needs.

Goodluck with it!

Just a quick note.... I 2nd the replaceable battery mods idea...with whatever mod you select. You'll need an external charger too. There's 100 mods out there. Picking one is tough, and you'll have fun reading. The mod section will have more info too. And whenever someone asks this question, they get 100 answers on "Yeee Haaa" get XXXXX mod.

Think features to narrow it down. They can all use both cartos and atomizers. So no worry there. The trick is:

How big?
How many volts?
How long do you really need it to last if you carry a spare batt?
Variable Volt?
Juice feeder (with a built in juice bottle)?
Want fancy looks?
Weight matter?
Price ranges?
Connector?
Digital readout for vv?
etc.

Chances are that you're looking at this list thinking "Point #1> I don't know, WTF, get real AP, Point #2> I don't know, WTF, get real AP, ...". It's hard to know and there's so many options. It's all research. Eventually you'll have to take a stab at it, and select a PV within your budget that looks like it may fit your needs. Check the reviews before posting. See youtube too.

Have fun. Do take the time to do some serious research. Mods Discussion

Good Luck!

Ah -- you have what I call "battery fatique". I know it well.

Here's a mini lesson on mAh. The little e-cigs are often around 300 mAh....and you are seeing how long they last between charges. And, rechargeable batteries only last so long---and the time between charges shortens and shortens and shortens.

The ego's are either 650 mAh or 900 mAh. Great improvement!

Mods often have changeable batteries of various sizes and mAh ratings. One of the attractions to mods is that you can buy a couple of batteries and a nice charger and be set for awhile. And, it costs about the same for a "big battery" as some mini e-cig batteries.

The "big battery mods" generally use 18650 sized batteries and the mAh I prefer is 2400 for one style or 1700 for another. That usually means a full day (or more) without having to change batteries.

I quickly went to the ego 650 mAh and was much much happier! Then I pursued 18650 mods.

The Silver Bullet is one of the most well thought of, reliable and popular 18650 tube mods made. I would say just go for it -- or shop around and see what looks attractive to you. Higher price does not always mean better vaping experiences. Things like placement or type of the button, finish, size of battery and repair capability are the things to look for IMO.

There are a lot of nice mods---so don't try and learn about them all in a day or two. Upgrading to a moderately priced 3.7 volt mod is the next step for most.

Then, while you are enjoying not having to change batteries every hour, you can learn about things like variable volt, variable watts, bottom feeders, carto tanks, various types of cartos & attys.......This industry is also changing and improving and new models and features are coming out all the time.

I believe an 18650 battery is aproximately the size of a roll of pennies and might even weigh about the same....so a tube mod using 18650 will have roughly a 1" diameter and weigh more.

Hope this helps.

You sure know your stuff!!

Researching I'm finding is very important! I want the battery but also what drives me nuts is the refilling of the carts! I don't know anything about volts

I am thinking about the Reo?!

I went the feeder route pretty quick myself.

Carto tanks are now also quite popular. Check them out.

IMO the Vmod is a great and moderately priced way to start with feeders. Version 2 is due out very soon (takes 14500 sized batteries--which are the same size as a AA). It's big brother, the Vmod XL has been doing very well and version II will have the same upgraded changes. You can use almost any carto or atty on it and you can change it's look easily by buying new "shells". There are several nice feeder mods and a whole thread dedicated listing them called "Bottom Feed Mods available with Links."

If you're want a mod that offers long battery life and no more refilling cartos, have a look at the REO Grand:

Reo Grand

Stop by the REO subforum here, do some reading and ask any questions you like:

Reos Mods

+1

This is what I ultimately went with when I upgraded to a mod. It's convenient, easy to use, and built like a bomb shelter LOL
You don't have to worry about it breaking nor having to carry around extra bottles, cartos, or atties.
