Hi,

I'm completely new to vaping. Looking at an eGo Vision Stardust 2.1ohm, 650mAh Starter Kit from Canvape, but really have little of an idea where to start. I've watched an informative How To vape video but I'm still pretty confused and on a tight budget.

Cartomizers, atomizers, coils, variable voltage, drip tips? I have a vague idea how this stuff all works! :) Here's some of what I'm looking for:

Bulk Cartomizers - Flavorless so I can add e liquid. These would be best, but any idea of vendors, especially in Canada, that sell them in bulk?

Glass Cartomizers - These don't need to be in bulk. I just want to see the smoke in a large glass globe. :) But it won't hurt if these can't be found.

Cheap E Liquid - A lot of the e liquid costs the same or more than a pack of cigarettes! Can flavors (fruit mainly) be found for $3-5 CDN? Canvape has it. Any additional recommendations?

Are parts from different brands interchangable or proprietary?

Thanks in advance for helping a newbie.

Well I just started this new way of smoking with my Vamo V5, and so far I like it. Its pretty simple and works pretty good I guess. Doesn't seem to last long though! But maybe I just need a new battery.

So far I have pretty good things at fasttech (where I got my vamo) for e-liquid in your price range. You you checked there? Everything seems to be very cheap.

I started off with a vision spinner and hated having to stop vaping if it ran out so I went straight to a vamo v5. My suggestion to start off is to get a Vamo or other entry level PV that has variable voltage/Wattage and slap on a Kanger Aerotank. you will get a great vape from day one and you can decide if you want to progress from there. Also get some good quality batteries and a charger while you are at it.

I find this way you won't spend too much extra funds progressing up the vaping ladder.

I've been gaping for a while I personally smoke v smoke juice it's 100percent by and 5 dollars at my smoke shop watermelon breeze is my favorite and I use a mech mood which is basically a battery inside of a tube. And as far as glass clearomizers or cartimozers go a nautilas aspire is the way to go. I recommend a Hades clone it's about 60 bucks with the battery and charger but it last me 3 days without a charge .

Welcome! I've not been at this terribly long, but I'm starting to find things I like (certainly not an expert - just like to throw in my :2c: on occasion). Qwerty, certainly don't know your background, but I'm going to suggest that the 650 ego might be a little on the light side. I just recently acquired an iTazte vv3 - true, it's only 800maH, but it does have a pass-through, so it can be used while charging. I tried the blank (cigarette-....-looking) cartos early on, and found 1) kind of a hassle to continually refill and 2) the flavor wasn't that great, as I often tasted filler material, rather than juice.

I have been using EVOD tanks (I can switch the coils to different resistances, if I feel so motivated.) They hold more juice, and the flavor seems to be cleaner than with the cartos. I did splurge and get a Mini Protank 2 yesterday - I had a plastic tank crack on me for the first time.

Re: liquids - try looking at Mt Baker Vapor. I think they ship to Canada (not 100% sure) Most 15mL bottles are about $5USD Based on *my* volume of vaping, that's maybe 5-10 packs of cigarettes.

Re: interchangeable parts - you would have to make note of various threadings (e.g. 510, ego, 306, etc.) As far as tank components, many use the Kanger coils, but you will need to read product specs carefully

I CERTAINLY do not know much, but I have found a comfort zone with what I have at this time.

To you and PeasantPuffer, welcome. Hopefully you will find the enjoyable path in the world of vaping.

Cheers

Not worth the money. Better to start off with clearomizers.
Glass Cartomizers - These don't need to be in bulk. I just want to see the smoke in a large glass globe. :) But it won't hurt if these can't be found.

if the vape is in a glass globe, you can't taste, smell, or get any nicotine from it. What would be the point of it? Glass is used in many clearomizers and tanks because some of the juices damage plastic.

Cheap E Liquid - A lot of the e liquid costs the same or more than a pack of cigarettes! Can flavors (fruit mainly) be found for $3-5 CDN? Canvape has it. Any additional recommendations?

One bottle of juice lasts a lot longer than a pack of cigs. Go for the online vendors.

Are parts from different brands interchangable or proprietary?

Look for 510/eGo threading. That is by far the most common.

A VAMO from fasttech would be great but you would also need a charger and the separate batteries, which boosts the price. You want to start NOW, and orders from China take a long time to get here. I haven't looked at the starter kit you are thinking of, but it is a small investment just to try. Harlen's recommendation about the larger batteries is legitimate. You need several batteries, some on the charger, and one being used. Don't try batteries or juices from China. They take an even longer time, because of regulations.

Hi I'm new too. 17 days smoke free. First IL say you might want a bigger battery. 6 50 mah won't last all day.I'got a 1300 mah and it does last all day with heavy vaping so I'd go with at least 1300mah. You don't want your battery running out when you need it! Second look on ebay. I was able to buy 15 clearomizers for 10.00 which is pretty good considering my smoke shop sells them for 5.00 each! They also have class atomizer for about 11.00 with replacement coil which run around 20 dollars in other shops I've seen. Ebay also has brand new vaporizer for decent prices. I got my kamry X6 for 20 dollars and they sell from 42 to 49. Comes with the verification card that it's original and not a fake. I'd say check out ebay because they have great deals. Hope this helps and welcome
