I got some that had slightly too big of a straw, and some that had one that just fit onto my 901 atty's hole. I found I could switch out straws, and I just keep using that good-sized straw, and it blows out all this liquid every day. I just don't see how letting eliquid sit in your atty overnight could do it any good. It seems like it would thicken and stick to it, maybe just a little at a time, but eventually enough to cause problems. What would keeping it wet with eliquid all the time do for it? I genuinely don't understand, any suggestions? Thanks! :)

I have used a LOT of this stuff working in IT.

You REALLY need to read the can.

Most of these products ARE NOT AIR!!

These are butane products that can leave various TOXIC compounds on whatever you spray them on.

If you check out the material data sheets on these products you will see all kinds of warnings about inhaling the fumes, and residual contaminents.

These should NOT be used.

I do clean my cartridges (I have a VK, so the atty, and cart are 1), however, I use a small air compressor that you can pick up at any hobby shop, or even somewhere like Home depot.

By using a air compressor you are actually getting AIR, not any other products.

QFT.

The stuff they put in the canned air is deadly. Smoking is probably healthier than inhaling some of the stuff they put in there.

Seriously.

I don't know if this would work for me.
My air compressor is a 60 gallon 160 PSI industrial sized air compressor.
I guess i could just hold the atty at arms length.:D

What would be a good regulated pressure to blow through it?

Around 5 PSI, Maybe 10 PSI? I would hate to blow the guts out of my 510 atty's8-o

Most compressed air cans now have a bitter agent to prevent dopers from huffing the canned air. Could leave a pretty nasty taste in your mouth too! Although there are some canned air that do not add the bitter agent. Link below has some good info.

This is true. I went to several stores to find a can that was strictly compressed air, no other weird flammable chemicals, and it still left a strange taste. :(

If your compressor uses oil, some oil will blow by the compressor rings and contaminate the air with small quantities of 30W oil. yummy.:p

Can also use a small balloon or camera lens blower.

I have some can's I got a few years ago on ebay that you can hook up a air or bicycle pump to to fill with air and then works just like a can of compressed air with no nasty chemicals involved. I use them quite a bit for blowing out atty's.

Edit: found a link to some like mine... http://store.wagaero.com/product_info.php?products_id=4393
You can also google for "rechargeable aerosol can"

I made a re-circulating pump to cycle lemon juice through an atty awhile back, while it did clean it amazingly well, I ended up screwing up the very fragile insulating bushing for the center post and the atomizer never worked again - I couldn't even use it to make an adapter. Be careful using compressed air, you may end up killing an otherwise good atomizer.

ETA: It blew all of the fiber wick around the coil out as well, that stuff isn't in there all that well.
