I placed an order and it said that it shipped on April 1st. I received my tracking number but shows that the usps has not even received it yet. Orders have never taken more then 3 days EVER. I wouldn't let it worry me but that mixed with what the tracking number says has me worried.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Getting really low on supplies, I'm getting nervous here.

Yep, placed my order on 4/2/2010 in the late morning, received a tracking # at 1:45pm. Still even now 4/5/2010 at 2:45 am USPS has only this info on my tracking #:
The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on April 2, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.
I was expecting to get my order on Monday afternoon as with my other suppliers. But now I have a feeling my order will only go out Monday morning and I will not get it till Wednesday.
Will update this thread Monday afternoon and tell you if I got it or not.

I have had this happen several times with delivery confirmation numbers. Only once from V4L. If someone at the post office forgets to scan it before it goes out it wont update. I actually have had a package not update untill it was in my citys post office. I wouldnt worry about it. I always get my stuff from V4L in 2 days.

>> I received my tracking number

You actually received a delivery confirmation number.

Check back after you get it and it will confirm you got it - give or take a day or three. ;) That's the way the USPS works.

Lynn is absolutely right; I used to think, too, that it is a tracking number, but it is only a delivery confirmation number. They don't really track. I usually get "the item is ready for delivery" message on the actual day of delivery. Nothing much before. Take heart.

USPS is notoriously bad at updating the confirmation information. There have been numerous times that I have received packages without USPS ever changing it from saying what your information presently says. Please allow 2-5 days for delivery from the point it is shipped.

I assure you, if we sent you an email stating your package was shipped? It was handed directly to a representitive of USPS.

Oh, yeah. USPS doesn't spend a lot of resources on tracking, much less in real-time tracking. They mostly confirm delivery, and even that is not in real-time. I have received a shipment a day early, before the guaranteed time of delivery, and the update screen still showed an out of state location.

I guess they apply the resources to keeping your order in transit, but I don't know how it works on weekends and after business hours. If it's in a truck or a plane, and it's saturday night or sunday, do the trucks and planes park at their closest city until Monday? If quitting time is 5p.m.CT, does a parcel going to an eastern state stop in transit at 4p.m.CT?...and things like that.

Of course, it would help if usps didn't advertise "track your packages quickly and easily!" Just like the fact that you have to chase down the information that states priority mail is not guaranteed 2-3 day delivery. :p

For the OP; don't worry, I had one package not too long ago that usps said they scanned through one of their sorting facilities a day before they received the shipping info. You also had a Sunday thrown in there, so I would bet you see it today.

I ordered some carts on 3/25 and got the usps shipping info shortly afterwards, only problem was that I received 2 tracking numbers. 1 tracking number was for someone elses order and the other one just showed that the label was printed. One week later it arrived and i checked the tracking number on usps website and to my surprise it showed that it got processed through a sorting facility in Puerto Rico. I dont know how it got there from wilmette, IL, which is where the shipping label was printed.

I've been lucky in this regard. Don't get me wrong, I still experienced the baffling message about the package not necessarily being in the hands of USPS, but on the morning of delivery my local post office lists the package as being sorted and put onto a truck for delivery. Soon thereafter the packages arrives at my address. It seems like some USPS offices are more efficient then others.

Just got my package!!!
First time for me NOT to get updates from USPS as far as where is the package "in transit Chicago to New York".
Next time i will know better.

BIG THANKS to vapor4life.com and thank you for sending some bonus flavors except I am not sure which E-Cig model they fit. I have a 510 but these are for a 2 peace E-cig, the atty is attached to the cart.
I guess i can try to some how pull out the fluf and insert it into my 510 cart.
Any other ideas on how I can use them?

Now on to tasting my new PG Cowboy and PG Cappucino.

Yahoooooo!:p
