No you aren't. I originally started filling my cartos this way. However, I just found the cap method to be easier/faster imo. YMMV!
Typically I have 3-4 cartos soaking in their caps overnight. By morning the juice is usually all aborbed by the filler material and I cap'em and take them with me to work. As stated earlier... I get 4-5 hours of vape heaven this way. It took about that long bore I took a toot that tasted kind of burnt.
I use the syringe method. Fill the syringe with carto's capacity inject. No mess, no counting and fast.
I have very limited experience filling cartos since I use a tank on mine, but I had a thought the other day - has anyone tried just soaking cartos in juice?? Is there a reason that wouldn't be the best way to make sure they are as full as they can get? Could be a bit messy though.
How many total drops do you get in by waiting? I put 13-16 drops( i don't count) in a condom quick, shove it in, pull it out, dry it off, and vape immediately.
I do 4-5 BogeLR's 2wice a day, and it take me 2 min.
This is on refills- on new ones, 3/4 condom full- wait 10 min., 1/4 fill- and vape.
This really looks like another personal preference thingy-some folks just hate syringes, or they aren't worth the effort.
That remark about the condoms being sexy was funny- can't imagine that unless they're quite young or silly headed.
Are we calling condoms "caps" now? I could do that.
The condom method does not suck . Im guessing your just doing it wrong . Everytime i do i literally do not have even a drop wasted .Even the remaining drop in the condom gets dripped back into the carto . On a boge i use 32 drops and push the battery end into the condom . Doing it the opposite way will make a mess and you will be blowing juice out the airhole forever . Iv tried every way and the condom method the correct way is much better than syringe filling . Look at pbusardo's video on filling boges . Patience is a virtue .
32 drops on refilling a regular sized BogeLR? That must last a long time- I guess I'm doing it wrong also.
You're not the only one by a long shot. I know lots of people who fill 808s that way including myself. I tried the bottom fill method and at a minimum it leaves a mess in the cap and wastes juice, even if only a few drops. But then, I'm not as skillfull at it as some seem to be. Therefore I totally agree with the OP.

On da humorous side, if you're gettin' a "Pffft!" sound, ya may want to reread da instructions...
I do the same drop in about 6 drops and shake it like a thermometer then repeat until full, I alway thought the condom method was messy because it left juice on the outside of the carto
I've found the condom method to be too messy with wasted juice. It gets stuck on the outside of the cart, still left with some inside the condom, and despite what some claim, I always have to blow out to clear the hole. I don't have any problems with syringes and use them for the initial fill...quick and mess free.
Yup a std boge . 32 drops at minimum . I will usually put 35 drops and a few drops on top after to finish soaking the filler . When i get all 35 drops from the condom in the top filler is usually not soaked at all yet . I go slow and dont let the juice flow out of the airhole until the condoms mostly empty . I think that may be your problem is that your letting the juice flow over the filler to where it has to seep back down towards the batt connector . If you keep the juice right at the top of the airhole without it overflowing you will see it gradually get lower while it seeps in then you push the carto down a little more to it back to the top of the airhole again and keep repeating til its empty . Then give the condom a squeeze to get the remaining drop bubbling over the airtube . Pull the condom off and drip a few drops to fully soak while giving a thermometer shake . After i suck any juice in the airtube from the mouth side not blow to get the tiny bit if that in the airtube . Usually there is nothing in the tube after a slight blow to make sure . All in all the condom is fully dry and the paper towel has barely a spritz on it . Another trick is to always use a new condom . If using a old condom it will be streched and the out side of the carto will get juice on it . When i do it no juice even touches the outside of the carto and no need to wipe it off . Hope that help . All in all about 36-38 drops and none wasted or overfilled . works everytime and no need to wait any longer for it to soak in . Iv never got a dry hit on a initial fill . .

As i posted earlier, you're doin' sumpin' wrong. After the experience of a few fills, I now do not have to clear the tube nor have more than one drop in the condom.

Yes it does. As mentioned earlier, I have gone 3 -5 hours without having to refill and I must admit, I'm a chain vapor. Every hour at work I'm outside with the analoggers get'n my vape on.
You may be doing something wrong. While there occasionally is juice on the outside of the carto it may amount to 1 drop. As already said, I typically add about 25-30 drops to a new carto cap or condom (whichever you prefer), slide the carto in, let it sit for maybe 5 minutes to be sure it soaks all of the filling, remove carto from cap, wipe excess juice off the carto with paper towel (there's usually never any left in the cap), screw carto onto my batt and vape for 3 hours before I even think about dripping more juice or dunking it in another 15-20 drops of juice in the cap.
This method by far has been a major win for me. My only draw back is having many caps on me at any given time. I prefer that to carrying a needle but that's just my preference.
BTW... I'm still vaping on a carto that I refilled around 6:15 when I returned home from work. And my PV hasn't really left my hand yet.
I don't have much patience. If I have to wait for 32 drops to sink in to filler material, then another 30 mins to soak in, that constitutes sucking.
I'm still trying to register the 5 hrs of chain vaping on 1 carto- seems magical.
Anyone else do this? I think I'm at 13 drops 4 a refill and about 45 min chain vaping.
I didn't contantly vape for 5 hours. Just didn't need to refill for about that time. This is vaping once every hour spending about 15 minutes outside while at work... so more like 1h15m of vaping.

Condom method works great for the initial fill on a Boge carto but not nearly as well with the dual-coil Smoktechs XLs. The filler on the Boge is rather resistant to rapid absorption on the initial fill. The condom method lets me fill them from the battery end to allow them sit and absorb slowly. After an hour or sometimes overnight, I continue the the process (leaving the cap on the bottom) by topping from above until I see the top of the filler fully saturated (looks like a slushy). Then I pull of the condom and blow out any excess. I get a few drops of waste but only on this initial fill. After that all my subsequent fills are from the top. Once the filler has been saturated the 1st time it seems to readily absorb from a top-fill. The Smoktechs must have a different coil placement or air channel design because the condom method results in a lot of excess liquid being blow out when repeating my Boge process. Instead of blowing them out into a tissue I blow the excess back into the condom and dump the remnants into the top. Dipping from the top on the initial fill without waiting quite awhile for adequate wicking has resulted in a few burnt cartos. YMMV Brew
