Okay, truth time. As hard as I have tried, I don't understand why I only seem to get 5 to 7 days use out of my atties. I have tried boiling in water, rinsing with water, soaking in mouthwash, alcohol and dental cleaner and although this might give me a few more days, the vapor production is not as good. I have been vaping happily for 9 months now. I have saved a small fortune compaired to the cost of cigarettes, so I'm not going to stop, I'd just really like to understand what I'd doing wrong. I am so jelous when I hear some of you talk about getting MONTHS out of a single atomizer!

My latest attempt is to rotate 2 attis, cleaning with Cozzi's alcohol drip method every few days.

Are there any other atti killers out there?

I never clean mine. Blow them out every once in a while when they quit performing, that's about all I do. Some last a month or more, others die in a week or so, some die that day. Maybe you are cleaning them to much. One thing you don't want to do is make the atty coil brittle. It will be way more likely to pop then. I think dry burning is a major culprit of this. One thing to check out when vapor production dies down is to make sure you don't have a wet connection. That will make your atty hot, but not give off the vapor. Hope you get it figured out, good luck!!

My first month and a half i was killing them left and right. Personally i believe it had to do with my juice supplier. I know for sure there was one bottle i got from them that will clog up a atomizer with a quickness. Since i have switched companies i have only lost one atomizer mainly my fault for running it dry , it was also a LR. After cutting open my dead atomizers they were encased in a shell of black gunk. I been keeping an eye on my atomizers and they dont build up that shell with the new juice. Not sure if this is your problem but it might be worth looking into. Cut apart a couple dead atomizers and see if the coil is encased in that black junk. If so you might want to try to find out what juice your using is causing it.

I go through attys at a high rate too. Some last 1 day and others last a week if I am lucky. Mostly LR. I use various PVs and always drip and keep them wet. Perhaps it is the juice i like, but I like the darker juices. Cleaning or not it seems about the same. I think that life is too short to vape juice I like less so I just keep buying attys. EM LR 510s seem to last me the longest. I have tried the 2.0 from Ikenvape and 1.8 from Altsmoke and others. They seem to last me shorter rather than longer. I will have to try some of the HV attys with 6v and see how they go, but the LR attys do the trick as far as TH and vapor.
Have tried all of the cleaning methods, but nothing seems to make a real difference. I have been vaping for almost a year.

Yes, I'm a killer, an atty killer. Once I killed 6 in less than 2 weeks. Completely dead verified by my Ohm meter.

I have reformed and regret killing all those attys.

My real problem is that my draw time is long. A 15 second draw for me use to be a very short one. I still have a longer than normal draw, but not as bad.

I have been on the same box of attys now for almost 3 months. Yes, 5 attys are used in rotation.

I use one for a week and then drop it in a vibrating dish of PG. The next week the one that has spent the last week vibrating in the PG is pulled out and left to drain and the next one goes in. I am getting the longest life I have ever had using this method. I am currently using Joye 510 LRs on an 18650 battery and getting good results.

My first attempts with LR's resulted in just a few days of life. The long draw combined with trying to vape on that really needed topping off 15 minutes ago popped 'em.

I too tried most of the methods for cleaning, but the one I am using works for me and it takes little enough time to be worthwhile. The big plus is that it works better than any other method I've tried.

I keep a ziplock bag of all my victims in various states of autopsy as a reminder. It has about 30 dead soldiers in there

when i first started, i was concerned about how many atties i would go through. i bought an extra 5. almost one month and i havnt blown one yet. i dont get why others are blowing so quick. i use an ego with lr"s, it gets flooded often, and i do nothing to them except for blowing them out when they get flooded. i use strictly freedomsmokeusa juices. my draws are around 7 seconds.

I don't have the answer to this either. I know when I started out, I was popping attys like crazy, but now that I've settled down a bit, I'm usually getting at least a couple of weeks out of each one. I think there is a learning curve to get over - as many have mentioned, these guys need to be just wet enough, not too much nor too little. As I look back at my earlier days, I was swapping atty's quite a bit and I wonder if the constant unscrewing and re-screwing weakens some connections at the base? It's also possible that there has been a change (improvement) in QC since I started out. All I know is that they are lasting longer, the longer I continue to vape.

Good choice (and no I'm not stalking you ;) )

lol I know your not , even if you were i would chalk it up to karma for me stalking the mail lady for the last few weeks.

But yeah freedomsmokeUSA is awesome i found them threw here.Blew up my last two atomizers in a hour of each other. So i needed replacements fast. They are located about 8 miles from my house. So on a Sunday even, they had me come over and i got some replacements. Well actually i got a whole eGo kit. But this kinda hits on your other thread about the FDA. I wasnt allowed to go in the mixing lab due to insurance reasons. But the doors have windows on them. The place is spotless. Everything was organized clean and very sterile looking. So that was for sure another plus along side the tasty pure liquids.

Hey there,

I have one I use all the time going on 3 months, before that I had a favorite that lasted 6 months!

I never cleaned either of them, however I would blow out excess fluid when they flooded.
