Got the dual coil cartos today, fired them up and got to vaping! LOVE the VV! Thanks for the tips cs and namo! That works like a charm. Set it low and dial it up. On these cartos (VK DCHVs) it's really amazing how dialing up into a sweet spot makes a difference. My normal PG based VK Red & White is horrible at 5+V and barely vapes at 3.7... but get it at 4.4 and it hits like a truck. Made my eyes water... in a good way. Ms T's Mountain Pop on the other hand absolutely rocks at 3.7 and 5.0, but a completely different vape at either.

Loving this. LOL

So.... what carto or atty do I absolutely have to try at high voltage (this lil' box it'll go over 7) and where should I get it from?

You would be surprised how different attys/cartos vape differently due to the air flow characteristics and the coil size. My favorite attys and cartos are BE112/801's and mini-801's and Madvapes 801 cartos BUT only on a 5 volt or variable volt PV. The BE112 is a low bridge 801 as is the mini-801 from IKENVAPE. The 801 cartos from MV I find to work best about 4.5 - 4.9 volts. Plus they hold 40+ drops and only cost $1.50.

And BTW, in case you had not seen it, here is an indepth reveiw of the Darwin:

I've been running 1.7 ohm 901's on my VV box using an adapter.

I grabbed some LR attys and an adapter to try out. My sweet spot is right around 4.0-4.2 for most I've tried, but I've been vaping at that voltage for 5 months now and I'm probably just used to it. found a nice spot for the Dual Cartos, but they eat the battery so fast... lol

i'm trying an ikenvape 3.5v with vv today and really liking it

Been meaning to try ikenvape, if only for their RY4 that comes highly recommended. Ah well, might as well get some high resistance attys and cartos too while I'm there. I don't need money to be happy.... just vaper! Thanks!

So, I'll be making an order with Madvapes and Ikenvape this week. Got it. heh... Ah well, I needed an 801 adapter anyhow.

Excellent review. Sat here and read it with my girlfriend and she said... oh that's the one you should get! And I'm all... but... I want a Buzz Pro... and she said, No that ONE.

sigh... :)

I really like the way the Darwin approaches the whole conundrum of maintaining a steady, even vape experience. It's like it was made for exactly what I'm looking for. hmmmm...

I think you will very pleased with the Darwin. nhaler seems to get them about every two weeks. You may want to email Drew and see if he can give you an idea when they will be available.

The RY4 that many of us have found to be closes to the original from 2009 is Janty's RY4. It too is ranked quite high.
