AW is the brand. IMR is a Lithium Manganese type of battery that uses safe chemistry. Safer chemistry will prevent venting with flames in the event of a catastrophic failure. IMR are also know as "high drain" batteries and can handle greater load demands. Li-Ion batteries, like those from AW, are also capable of handling these load demands.

Thanks Womanofheart. Is there any advantage/disadvantage to IMR vs. Li-Ion?

I can't see any real disadvantage between the two. What it boils down to is longevity. The Li-Ion batteries have more choices in mAh, so it just depends on how long you want to go between charges and what size battery your mod can take.

The largest battery my Chameleon can take is a 14650 and I use a 1300mAh. The largest battery my Indulgence can take is the 18650 and I have two 2900mAh's for it.
