Ok. I have a lot of people saying to start with an ego ecig. Is ego a brand name or just a generic name for the battery? Any help, I got a totally wicked disposable and except for the button pushing thing I really like it. But it is going to get pricey buying disposables and would like to try an ego(I guess). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The Joytech eGo started it but, there are plenty of knock offs out there of equal or better quality. The Riva and Kgo come to mind. So, really it's a class now. It's main claim to fame is that in a world of cigarette sized batteries that lasted 3 hours if you were lucky, they could go 3 times that or more.

I thought so. Thank you for confirming that for me. Now, they have a ton of distributors who would you recommend buying from?

Cignot carries mostly ego stuff and they have the best customer service out there. Hoosier ecig supply has Kgos that a lot of people like. Madvapes is like Wal-Mart for vapers. They have some smoketec (I think) knock offs that are okay.

I'm not really the best to ask. I moved up from egos a while back.

Personally I would go with a Kgo if you are looking for that style. It looks just like an Ego but has a little more power and is a little cheaper. You can check them out at Hoosierecig.com and that is a great co. to deal with. Use 5off for an additional 5% off.

I have owned both and liked the Kgo best by far.

I'd go for the official Joyetech resellers that also sell good juices. Kill two birds with one stone. Another thing is that most clones don't offer the similar tank systems (at least similar as ego-C's). Contrary to some, I think it's a good tank system. Some give you cartos or clearomizers that aren't necessarily an improvement. I've used a variety of it now. I could have saved money just going with those Joye tanks.. they're actually better than half of the crap people suggest.

I'd say it depends on how it's said.

An eGo can be a series meaning a midsized battery.
An eGo can be that size topped with a 510 atty/cart combo from Joyetech, a fake (generally low quality copying the Joye name) or a copy (a branded copy that may be high or low quality but generally better than a fake since they use their own name).

Then there's the eGo-T and eGo-C which are internal tank systems that people sometimes leave the T or C off.
So unless they clarify what they mean by "eGo" it's hard to say.

Personally it was the eGo-C that pulled me back into vaping. If I had a regular eGo I know I'd have to drip and that's a hassle.
If I was just out for the battery I'd probably go for a mod.

Who would you say is a Good joye reseller? I don't want to spend a bunch of money on crap. I already have an old style blu that I never use because it never produced enough vapor.

I haven't tried these guys, but I'd recommend them because they carry many of the same things a local dealer does. Since you're in Orlando, Florida, maybe this will ship quicker to you. Better yet, you could see them in person. I'm sure they'd let you test stuff out.

E-Liquid | Joye 510 | Joye Ego | E-Cigarette Supplies | EsmokerOnline!

They have the Ovale Ego-C's though.. But Ovale is Joyetech made. I have an Ovale ecab. It's the same thing. I think they're partners with Joye or something.

BTW, there's no more power.
KGO 1100mah is $18 at Hoosier. eGo-C Upgrade 1000mah is $21 at Cignot.
For that extra $3 you get a choice of using it in the regulated mode of the original eGo batteries or the same unregulated mode as the KGO (the same 3.7v). In regulated mode the LED tells you the state of the battery charge which I don't think the KGO has.

To put the 100mah difference into perspective, one of those little cig-a-like type batteries are around 280mah.

I usually prefer running my Upgrade batteries in the regulated mode. And my Twist ($31 1000mah variable voltage 3.2-4.8) generally sits at unregulated mode voltage (so not everyone prefers higher voltage) and as far as I know it acts like regulated where it holds that voltage until the battery shuts down.
If you want more power I'd look at the Twist.

Thank you. Cignot also has a really cool tutorial.

Two more questions. I prefer to use a cartomizer that is already put together and I can't drip, which joye ego uses a cartomizer? And which one would you say, set up this way, produces the most vapor? I know these are probably inane questions, but I am a noob and I HAVE to quit smoking and do not want to.

I think Joye eGos are attys and carts (don't shoot if I'm wrong, like I said if it wasn't for the eGo-C tanks I probably would've continued waiting). Although you should be able to put a 510 carto on any of the eGo type batteries.

Johnson Creek has an eGo type that uses cartos. The kit is 2 pass through 650mah batteries and 1 cone.
Hardware - Vea™ Starter Kit
I have only used the (version 2) cartos and haven't used them very long. I'm not a fan of filler so I'm probably not a good one to review them.
