confused about filling cartos + carts, how much do they REALLY hold?

ok, I probably have more juice on my fingers right now than on the 2 empty carts I just filled and the one carto, as my first time filling, I thought it would be easiest to do it with the blunt 18 gauge syringe that I bought from vaporkings.com. Now I was under the impression that standard size 510 carts hold about 1ml and standard size 510 cartos hold about 2 mls. Something is wrong with this, because I got about 1ml + a few drips in the carto before juice started flooding out the threaded part, and I was actaully able to get about 3/4 ml in the cart, so tell me why cartos are so much better, am i doing something wrong in filling the cartos? I bought them b/c I thought they held twice as much juice as the carts. maybe I am filling it to fast? and if it comes out the bottom, does that mean I shouldnt fill it anymore, or just go slower, oh and also I noticed after filling it, inside my condom thing was a rubber "plug" I would assume for the hole at the threaded end...r u supposed to leave that on when filling?

please help? tips? advice? smaller syringe? no syringe & just drip? if so how many drops=1ml...I am just trying to find the easiest most convenient way to fill a carto without making a mess....and wasting a bunch of juice

New to the site here, but been vaping for almost a year now. I usually just drip down the sides on the carto, let it soak in and repeat until it starts to barely pool at the top. I tried with a syringe also and had the same results you are having, maybe someone else has a better method, but that works for me.

A standard carto will usually hold around 20-25 drops on the initial fill. An XL carto can hold around 55-60 drops. You really don't need a syringe to fill them; just pop the mouthpiece off and drip juice onto the filler.

No - cut that in half. The so-called capacity of a 510 cart is about 1/2 ml (I say so-called because i don't know if that is the volume of the juice cup or how much juice it can hold withput dumping it in you mouth). 510-T tanks are also 1/2 ml. And the capacity of a Boge carto is supposedly 1ml. I don't buy those Joytech reservoir cartos so I don't know about them.

I also don't use a syringe to fill stuffing-filled things.

You can buy other cartos that are 2ml and I think even 3ml.

Cartos a great because they do hold more than a cart (I do not fill carts to full capacity because they can dump their juice). Cartos keep the flavors separate. They need juice less often. You get a fresh atty in every one. What they are not better for is testing juices or lasting a long time physically.
