Hi Everyone,

I fell off the wagon a few years ago. I was using DSE901's and Riva 901's with cartomizers.
i have decided to try this again but I am so confused. Everything is so different now and cartomizers for those are scarce, plus my old batteries and slowly biting the dust.

I don't want to buy a bunch of new gear and be disappointed so I'd like to try something that doesn't cost very much. I have been looking at these: $7.61 eGo-Mini Protank 650mAh Starter Kit - 1.5ml / 2.4ohm / USB charging cable at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have some questions. I'm curious, do all eGo batteries have that 5 click on/off thing? Do the buttons get stuck because 20 minutes ago the button on one of my Riva's got stuck on and I could not get it off. It is now resting in a bucket of water in the bathroom cuz I freaked out.

If I buy this eGo will this tank work on it? $5.73 Pyrex Glass DCT Tank Atomizer (3.0mL) - silver / 1.5 ± 0.2

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated and please be simple.

Thank you all for being here. Just reading the forums in the last several days has given me new hope.

The egos are a pretty reliable little starter battery, and the buttons usually last quite awhile. Keep in mind that they are still relatively "disposable" batteries that will last somewhere between 4 months and 8 months (some longer depending on your vaping habits.) I have one that is over a year old that I use all the time, and two others that are 4 to 8 months old and still going strong. One of them is beginning to bite it though.

Of course, like anything, things can happen and go wrong. Think of it more like, for the cost of 1 or 2 packs of smokes (depending on where you live) you can grab another if one doesn't work quite right, or quits after a few months. If you smoked full priced cigarettes it is really hard to spend more on vaping if you are reasonable about it. I used to smoke roll your own to cut costs and only spent $45 a month on supplies for that. In my case even being frugal it was more expensive until I began to make my own juice. Now it's way less expensive. It doesn't matter though. Cancer is a lot worse than spending a few bucks.

Yeah, that tank would work if you like cartomizers in a tank. You can also look at the many clearomizers out there now that really are an improvement over those with the cartomizers in them. But what you picked will work.

Hey TamiP, Thank you very much. The cleaning lady where I work found what looks like an eGo with a clearomizer on it. The battery was charged and I cleaned the clearo and tip out and tried it. It leaked all over and tasted burnt. That is why I thought about trying a tank.

Well.... consider the source. hahaha, I mean, ROTFLMAO... although I can't imagine tossing the ego out with the burnt clearo I suppose someone could have used it too hard until it burnt up and tossed the whole thing with the impression that all ecigs do that---a burnt carto would do the same thing... ick. Try to wipe that impression from your mind (and tastebuds) and pick up a fresh clearo and try it. hahahaha

also, any tank 'can' leak. Actually, from my experience with those carto tanks of long ago (used to have one about 2 years ago), they leak easier than most clearos that are well cared for do. but it can happen. It's all a part of the learning curve. While ANY type of liquid container can leak, if you really want to be cautious, try something like a disposable clearomizer that you just use until it gets worn out and then toss away to replace with a totally new one. Hold on a sec, I'll look for one to show you what I am talking about.
