Confused on this new math someone was mentioning in chat

Someone was mentioning what a great deal you can get at Tasty Vapors.

He said you could get basically 8oz (240ml) for $30.00 + shipping. He mentioned the nic content would be around 16 mg (this is from memory, but it was close to this)

He said you do this by buying your 1 oz flavored juice with 48 mg + a 4 oz doubler; and then mix.

If the math I grew up on is still valid, then would i not get 5 ozs instead of 8? And each oz would be 9.6 mg by my old fashioned rules.

Your math is correct. But, if you buy when it is a flavor of the week, the 48mg liquid is only $10 so it would cost $25 + shipping for 5 ounces.

If you end up not liking the flavor, you have 5 ounces of it. That's why I recommend buying just the e-liquid ($10 if it's FOTW) and, then do the liquid+doubler on your re-order.

Wouldn't you have to start at a 1oz nic lvl of 90 to get 5 oz of 18mg if you added 4 oz of 0mg nic doubler to it? But still, getting the doublers really makes the juice stretch without losing the flavor in the "diluting" the higher nic juices. My problem has been the choice of doing I get a higher nic initially to try it, then get a doubler? Or order the initial 1 oz in a lower nic level and sort of limit myself to reording at a higher nic lvl with a doubler after the initial order... so far I compromised and done both at different times. When in doubt try the flavor first then go hog wild with higher nic levels and doublers later.
