Ok guys figure this one out, hoping for multiple things to try/look at

I have two provaris, both v2.5 (3.5 amp circuits)
I have a russian 91% and some other kayfun clone. Both have micro coils made from 28 gauge kanthal, 10 wraps. Both have fully charged batteries about 6 months old bought the same day charged together. The coil on the russian is 1.7, the coil on the kayfun clone is 1.8. Both running at 4 volts.

When I fire the russian I can get almost a 2 count before it turns red. When I fire the clone I get maybe a half count and I get red coils. This seriously makes me change how I vape the russian over the clone. I admit I have not swapped them, maybe I'll try that tonight as it's the most obvious, and sometimes the clone is slower to react, maybe a full second instead of half second, but what else could be going on here??

Just curious, were both coils wrapped from the same roll of Kanthal? Almost sounds like they are wrapped with different gauges of Kanthal. Heavier gauge Kanthal takes longer to heat than lighter gauge. I had some that was sold to me as 30ga. from a B&M that when my order from Lightning Vapes showed up was actually way thicker than 28ga. Took 2-3 seconds to heat up when firing on the PV.

Torching shouldn't change anything. Only other things I can think of is a loose post screw or micro coils and one not compressed enough. I'm kind of curious what this turns out to be when you get it solved. I'm willing to bet it will be something simple we all just take for granted when doing builds. Hope maybe somebody else has a suggestion. Good luck get to the solution. If all else fails maybe just tear the lazy coil out and wrap it again and see if the problem goes away.

so even if you switch mods this still happens on the same atty? although they are vv devices I still feel like dirty contacts can change the vape power. although I haven't had this happen it could be one possibility. another reason could be the positive pin differences in the atty's, if one conducts better it will fire quicker. also like mentioned, it could be from a bad or slightly different coil, sometimes when one anneals the wire it could damage a section of the wire making it weaker in that spot. and lastly, like also mentioned a connection issue. so maybe its one of these
