Confusing Terms?

Ok I know the difference between an atomizer and a cartomizer.

But the terms Fluxomizer and Clearomizer and confusing the heck out of me. I see them used a lot, but for the life of me i cannot find anywhere that actually explains what they are/purpose they serve compared to the atty and carto.

I guess everyone gets a "new to it" question so i'm going to burn mine on this.

A clearomizer allows you to see how much juice is in it. They can be carto style with polyfill or wick style like CE2/3/4s or the Vision eGo transparent (stardust). FLüXomizers are GotVapes 'brand' of CE2s.

Like CountSmacula said, clearomizers come in a couple different styles, some with filler, some with wicks. I really like the wick kind, like the Vision line from GotVapes, these things rock. The Fluxos are okay, but they take a lot more fiddling with than the Visions do:

Edit: I forgot to say, a fluxomizer is a kind of clearomizer, and clearomizers are a kind of cartomizer.

ok that does help a bit. So the clearomizer is more or less a carto that you can just see through

I'm looking for an easy way to actually keep more than one liquid vap-able and with my eGo-T its really not easy having to have a separate tank and atty for each flavor (or in worse case having to wash out the atty to swap flavors)

But I tried a carto and I couldn't stand it, the flavor sucked and on top of the vapor tasting horrible I also kept tasting the rubber the mouth tip was made of. It was a very bad experience overall.

I guess i'll just have to break down and buy another 2 or 3 attys and keep them in my carry case if I want to swap flavors if everything else is basically just cartos

I had a similar response to cartomizers at first, Kamin_Majere. What I ended up doing was picking up some Boge punched cartomizers and a couple tanks to sit overtop of them. The tanks keep the cartos nice and moist, which provides that good, rich flavor that I'm accustomed to from the ego-T.

Alternately, keep your juice with you and keep adding drops. Most cartos hold a lot more juice than people think they do.

As long as you're sure that your vaping cartos (atomizer + polyfill) and not carts (fill and nothing else). If you got carts w/ your kit they are not good. If you are vaping cartomizers you can get a new drip tip for them that may solve at least a part of your problem.

Yeah it was a poly filled carto. My Kit came with the atty and tank system, which I love but swapping liquid is a pain because you always taste the last fluid that is still inside the atty (no matter how much you blow it out).

But the guy at the store I go to raved about the carto every time I went in so I figured it had to be good so gave it a try. Suffice to say it was a less than stellar vap to me. I figured a hard plastic tip would probably take care of the rubber taste, but the vapor was just really poor tasting to me for some reason

But like anything else I'll more than likely buy a few more types and give them all a try. Got to find that magic "perfect vap" after all

Clearomizer is two things - a specific product of totally clear brittle no-stuffing cartomizer aka CE2 that was made by RoyalSmokers. CE2 came in both brittle clear and solid metal versions. At the time Gotvapes chose to call them Fluxomizers and insisted the ones they sold had special improvements. I think they would just get the next rev early. There were a number of revs (revisions) rev 2 through rev 5 were sold.

The second thing clearomizer is (sort of) is some newbs use the word the same way people call any copy a Xerox or any tissue a Kleenex. Some newbs call all clear cartos clearomizers.

AFTER CE2 came CE3 aka Smokymizer by RoyalSmokers, a new style with a more flexible cloudy plastic and Gotvapes calls these Deluxe Fluxomizers.

With poly-filled cartos you have to make sure that they are filled properly. The condom method is probably the easiest way to fill a carto: fill a condom half-way with juice and slowly insert a carto with the threaded end first. Let it sit a while so the juice is absorbed in the poly-fill and if need be drip some juice from the top. Before using, gently blow out any excess juice.

You may also want to consider some CE2 type cartos. The Vision line and the Startdusts are relatively trouble free, give a good amount of vapor, flavor and TH. You can easily tell how much juice you have, and you can fill them from a dropper bottle or a syringe. They are easily cleaned and can last for weeks.

Are we positive about that? I use bottom coil CE3's but they'e been discontinued by Royal Smokers and are not easy to find anymore, especially in the colors. The Fluxomizers I've seen, and I'm pretty sure I've seen the "Deluxe ones", have a top coil design like a CE2, but with the improved crack-free plastic tubes of a CE3. If I'm wrong, I'd like to get some Deluxe Fluxomizers. Top coils don't work that well for the 80% or more VG juice I prefer.
