Confusion

I started originally with gas station e cig never really liked it eventually went back to regular cigarettes. Tried some at malls never bought one. My brother got one several months ago with a large bat from a friend selling them. Really liked it but it was a generic and the seller wouldn't tell you anything about the threads so you could only buy parts from them so never but one but really wanted one. Tried some disposables. Did a lot of research. Review sites. Decided to get one that looked like a regular cig. Went with v2 liked for a while. Didn't like the small battery had like 4 batteries was always charging. I also used the clear beta cartridges leaked clogged all the time. But it was a start. Gave v2 a friend lol . I got a egoc with a large battery started to love it then started forum reading and here negative things about tanks and flavor don't know if its in my head from reading but starting to wonder. There is so much info out there. It's insane before it was go to store buy Newports nothing to think about. I want to try new things. Cleaned my first atty wasn't really hard except after snapping head back on tank is harder to lign up. What other cartos equip can I use on an ego? I'm worried about getting crazy and worrying about ohms and voltage. What happened to just flicking the Bic? Sorry for rambling.

Well, first of all Jtried. Welcome to our forum, and grats on your decision to switch from smoking to e-cigarettes. It is confusing to be a beginner. It's an entire new world of terms and phrases. Just hang around and like the rest of us you'll pick it all up once you've started.

Having multiple choices is a good thing, actually. As you found out in your limited experience, there's a big difference between the cigalikes and intermediate eGo class of batteries. There's an even bigger difference once you decide to advance up to APV's (mods) and bigger/better juice carrying devices. You can go as simple or as advanced as you desire, it just depends upon your expectations and budget.

Since this is your first post, you won't be able to view it, but I've written several articles geared towards beginner vapors. After you have completed 5 posts and then allow the forum to reset (approximately every hour), you will be able to view the blog. It can be accessed here: E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs or by clicking the link under my avatar.

In particular you'll want to read this article on juice delivery devices: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...k-what-primer-juice-delivery-attachments.html

I describe cartomizers, atomizers, clearomizers, nanos, vivi nova tanks and cartotanks; all with pictures in use and a video on how they are used.

You've come to the right place to find answers and learn. Plenty of people willing to help and provide support. In addition, there is a link at the top of your page called the Info Zone which will have a vocabulary and basic knowledge of e-cigs. After your 5 posts/forum reset you'll be able to post in any of the other sub-forum headings.

Good luck! - Baditude

I totally agree that it was easier to just flick my Bic and buy a pack of Marlboros [or Leggitts after the prices got so high].

The good news is that you are not smoking and it is smoking that damages our lungs and causes most of the problems now being labeled as tobacco are said to cause. Smoking hurts your lungs. Smoking causes COPD. Smokingups your chances of getting lung cancer. Smoking makes you feel slow and tired.

Nicotine Harm Reduction products like the ecig let you have your nicotine and your health, too. So worth the effort.

It took me quite awhile to find my vaping sweet spot but now that I am there, I am so happy I persevered.

Best of luck on your journey.

Welcome Jtried to ECF !
Lots of friendly folks here to offer advice and encouragement.

Sister in law showed me her cig-a-like down in Florida a couple of years ago...
looked like a toy cig and was not for me. Lurked around here for a while at Christmas,
Saw a lot of people were having success with eGos....ordered an eGo-c kit.
40+ yr, PAD+ 'burro red' man became a Vaper the day I got my kit.

Now, I have a bunch of mods, and DIY ejuice...
But my everyday fill and carry vape gear is my still my eGo-c and cartrages....I love em.
They are easy to fill, easy to carry, the flavor of the juice is great in a Cartrage and two 1000 mah
batteries and a few filled cartrages are plenty for a full day of Vaping pleasure.

So, yes..you can get into all kinds of gear and products...but if something works for you...and you are happy-
that is all that matters. It is not all about the latest and greatest...or what someone else thinks and says...
It's about you-and what works for you.

I wish you All The Best in your Vaping journey !

If the ego c equipment your using works for you, then it is the best choice you have made. If you want to try something else, your ego c battery should be 510 threaded with ego cone threading, opens up a whole new world of juice delivery systems. Get your five post in, then click on the blue number six under Baditudes name beside the words Blog entries. If you like the information you can bookmark the page in your browser for easy access.

You will find the people here helpful, and we have traveled the path you on are, so most of us understand the daunting choices out there. Welcome aboard, I wish you the best.

This is my setup...I use cartomizers at work. I fill 3 up the night before and put them in my case ready to go. At home I use a carto tank and my Kanger T3's. The batteries I have is a vision spinner for out and about and a Vamo for the house. So far I have been doing that for a month and its really working out for me. No muss No fuss!

I too started by using the cigalikes. Blucigs helped to cut me from a pack a day to half a pack. It was good but not quite good enough to get me off completely. The battery life was horrible, even on my "Premium 100" pack, and I got sick of constantly reordering prefilled carts that most times started to taste burnt and lose vape levels long before they were actually empty. That is why I ordered my Twist and a few different tanks to try out. My Twist, Nova, and Splitfire all arrived yesterday and I can definitely see this setup allowing me to totally make the switch. 2 analogs left in my pack and then I am making a vow not to touch the stink sticks anymore. I am anxious to recieve my Texas Tuff Tank and try that to see how a tank with a carto differs from a wicked system.
-P.S.- I would like to thank Blucigs for introducing me to the wonderful word of vaping. I will be passing both of my packs on to friends who have shown an interest in making the switch in hopes that they can help them too.
