Did you have to take the assembly fully apart? It didn't seem to want to detach from the threaded part. I was kind of nervous to force it. I have a ticket opened at fasttech, there first answer was they can't just sell me a new spring for it, I was trying to talk them into selling me the whole assembly, we'll see what they say. If I can fix it myself that would be good because it has been my favorite at home mod since I got it. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

the spring in the Congestus has been the Achilles heel of this beast mod I'm finding. for a quick fix until I can figure out where you can get a replacement spring use the spring from a pen.
i take any old pen and take the return spring out of the bottom and cut it to length then use it in my Congestus. I've had to do this 3 times since owning my Congestus back in July.
right now i'm having other switch problems where my switch button has come completely apart and the threads are stripped so i can't reuse it. i temporarily put a small machince screw with washers and spring together but am on the hunt for a new set up with a stronger more heat resistant spring.
with the power of the Congestus, soon as the spring overheats its shot and needs replacing. its the #1 reason that i will not use it for low ohm builds or cloud chasing
