Anyone know the battery to atomizer (female) connector size or part number for a 510, or where I could find a source of these for making mods?

Robw do you know if there is anything else that can be use. Like something that can be purchased from radio shack?
The atomizer threads are 7mm x .5 very fine, very rare. I would also like to know if someone has found a connector to fit these.
Take a look at the tire valve extension that Secondson2929 uses for the 901. It has a female end and a male end.
The 901 uses a 8mm x .75 and the tire valve is a 7.7mm diameter with 32 threads per inch. close enough to work with the 901 but too large for the 510.
I have been looking too. No luck yet. I found some led holders at RS that looked good, but they do not work, the threads are too far apart and the diameter is exactly the diameter of the 510 - not slightly larger to screw the 510 into. Still looking, let me know if anyone finds something.
I just got my 7mm x .5 tap and 6.5mm drill today so no more problems.(for me)

Edo, first you get a lathe, then a stick of 7/16 brass stock. Drill a 6.5mm hole in the center about an inch or so( really does'nt matter) then drill a 8.25mm hole to 4mm depth. Tap this hole with a 9 x .75mm bottom tap, then tap the 6.5mm hole with the 7x.5mm tap and then part off the adapter at exactly 6mm length and then smooth the edges(chamfer) and you have just made an adapter to use a 510 atomizer on your mini-pipe or any 801 battery.
by any chance would you be willing to pay for your tap making some adapters to sell?
Where did you even find the tap? An ebay auction is the only place I could find it without knowing where to look beyond using a few search engines.
As an alternative (the only thing I've thought of so far) - and i'm borrowing this idea from a post seen quite a while back - one can make a physical holder using some magic putty; lightly oil threads of atomizer first; unscrew carefully when putty nearly solid. Ten it's a matter of appending some electrical contacts.

Also very very interested in this subject none of my stuff has died yet and I cant kill something that still works for a 2 cent part...

This adapter does not need any internal connector, It just butts together the atomizer and the pipe center pole. Very simple.

Cut apart a dead 510 atomizer, threaded it to an M401 atomizer, comfirmed works without modification to the positive terminal.
Same with a 401 USB Mini Charger-Cut this apart threaded unto a 510 atty, and again this works without modification.
I used the new intellicig USB charger (the one that looks like a MicroSD adapter) simply because it really doesn't function like the Smoore factory chargers.
