That's why I like the deal at healthcabin, it comes with the pcc. If I used to smoke about a pack a day, what would be a general estimate of enough liquid to purchase to last me say a month?
And thanks to you all, you guy's are helping a lot.

A rough answer to the how much liquid would be 30 to 90 ml per month (from 1 to 3 ml per day).

But really, thats not as simple of a question as it sounds. There are lots of variables and options. A big question is what nicotine level, you can get liquid with 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 24, 32, or 48 mg/ml of nicotine (a good place to start is 16 or 18 and go up/down from there, I'm a former pack/day smoker and I use 12mg liquid, but thats just me). Then there's VG vs PG for more or less vapor production. And then there's the myriad of flavors and liquid vendors to choose from. Before loading up on lots of any particular liquid, you probably want to get some smaller sample sizes and discover what your preferences are. Here's a small list of quality sample sized liquids that you way want to consider trying...
- NHaler High Octane (6ml samples available)
- Innovaper UltraPure (3ml samples available)

Also, another hardware vendor to consider is litecigusa.net, they have a good prices and fast free shipping for the type of order your working up to make.

(also, I got a 510kit from madvapes... its not Joye... the attys were 3.3ohm DSE/SLB attys much better suited for 5v vaping than 3.7v vaping... i like madavpes, but that 510 setup is not a good 'starter kit' really)

Ordered my 510 in stainless from Cignot after much research and the very positive comments Cignot has gotten from many members.

Opted not to get the kit w/ the pcc...seems like a common experience for many members is to evovle to the ego, which wont fit the pcc. I figured I would probably follow this "evolutionary process," and in fact will order an ego batt w/ cover today.

Also, Cignot has FREE SHIPPING on orders over $59 (very easy to pass 59 with necessities...spare attys, empty carts, juice, etc., etc.).

Can someone tell me what exactly a usb pass through is?

Instead of using a battery as the power supply, you can draw power from a USB port. Either directly off of a computer, or a powerd USB hub, or a wall adapter to USB power port, or a car USB charger.

Some USB passthru devices provide a full 5v output, others regulate the output down to something more like the std ecig batteries provide.

The USB port you plug into should be capable of providing at least 1amp at 5v, but a 2amp capacity is better. The basic wall chargers don't provide enough current to vape off of (they're typically only 500 milli amps), but usually the USB ports on laptops or desktop computers have enough juice. If you get serious about using a passthru, there are hi amp wall adapters and car chargers availble (see madvapes).

I was looking at the ego, but the 510 looks more my style. I don't really care what they look like, but for some reason the 510 just has more appeal to me. And I don't mind changing out the batts, thats no problem to me.

I feel the same way - I don't mind doing battery swaps. I did get the PCC kit from cignot and I love the 510s; they just look so sleek and proper. You will want extra batteries anyways, still - keep one in the PCC at all times, as well as one in use on your e-cig and another spare. Since I'm on the road, working from my car I keep the PCC in my car - it powers off a mini-USB car charger that I've used for my Motorola and Blackberry cellphones.

The kit I am getting comes with one, so I am going to purchase two extras. I figure if I start the day with three fully charged batteries, I can use the pcc to charge one when it dies, and have two back ups fully charged already. I was going to buy extra attys, but I've been hearing how good the cartomizors are so I decided to go with a couple packs of those (blank and prefilled.) I also stocked up on juice, might as well if I am paying shipping all the way from China ha.

I've been looking for some reading on the Joye 510 and got a lot of positive reviews about it. Just a few questions if anyone cares to help.
1. I found a kit for 35 with a pcc from Healtcabin, just curious if this site ships out Joye's because I have heard of some places calling their product Joye, when indeed it is a knock off brand.
2. How long do the blank carts filled with e-liquid usually last.
3. One more, If I do order the 510 how many extra batts and attys would be recommended to order with it.

Thanks.

1- Healthcabin is a legit site. They do ship out of China so your taking a risk of having trouble with customs.

2-I get about 10 minutes from a fully filled cart. If you are looking for something that will last longer without filling look at cartomizers.

3-I would get 4 batteries and 2 chargers or 3 battereis and a pcc. I would start with 3-4 attys

I would say the eGo will end up being cheaper by the time you buy extra batteries, chargers and pccs. Yes the eGo is a little bigger but once you vape for a month or so you get over the whole "it has to look like a cigarette" thing.

The 510 is good but the eGo is much much better and I don't think you will "outgrow" it for a long while.

Don't go too overboard during your "introductory period". Get what you need but no more. If you find vaping to be your cup of tea (as I hope you will), you'll also become more enamored by the many types of vaping devices than you can now possibly imagine. Trust me.
I started out with the Joye510. Just to be sure, I bought 2 of the Joye510 2-packs from Cignot. Seemed like a good idea at the time and indeed it was. Regardless, I soon became interested in models with batteries that lasted all day and with a price cheaper than a replacement battery for the Joye510.
Lots to learn here. Don't think you'll buy a model and be set for the duration. It just doesn't work that way. But thats ok. This is the most satisfying method of quitting smoking you'll ever attempt. You'll soon enjoy vaping more than you did cigarettes. How cool is that? Welcome aboard.:toast:

I will probably upgrade to the eGo eventually, but for now I just want to try the 510 with the cartomizors. I heard they fit about 20-25 drops of fluid, can anyone give me a general estimate on how long they will last? I wont mind refilling them when I am at home, but for work it would be difficult to find time. Say I get a smoke break every hour or so and I vape for 10 minutes max at a time, how long would you say a cartomizer would last? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to get a general idea of how long each one full will last etc.. I heard a battery will last anywhere from an hour to three hours, but with the pcc I am not worried about that I intend on purchasing three all together and maybe a passthrough for the car or at home.

I chain vape my 510. A regular cart with about 10-12 drops lasts me about 15-20 minutes. If I still had 10 min. hourly smoke breaks, I'd be going through 5-6 carts. So, I'd say you should be safe bringing 3 cartos and 2 batteries. Better too many than too few. The batteries last me a couple hours when they're new, but less time as they age. The megas last about 50% longer.

I have another question. Most people say they average about 2-5 ml a day. I seen somewhere that a carto holds about 1 ml. As the carto runs lower on juice am I going to notice a huge decrease of th and vapor? With the Blu I currently use, I can get good hits for maybe the first couple puffs, but after that it seems the vapor decreases substantially. Will this be the case with the 510? If i want to restrict my intake to 2 ml a day max, will two cartos be efficient til empty? With changing batts through out the day of course.. The Blu really turns me off to vaping because of this, I will take the plastic piece out and see maybe half a cart full with poor vapor and no th.

Hi Cupcakes

Do yourself a favor........fill and take 4 cartos with you.......instead of trying to drain every last drop, change up the carto when you sense it getting low. Unlike carts, you can drain the cartos down to the very end, but they will last longer over the long haul if you dont let them get that dry, and you dont run the risk of melting (or more accurately charring) the filler material.

Keep in mind that the cartomizers will not last forever, better to carry a couple spares and never worry about running out.

I chain vape all day even at my desk at work, and it would be a rare thing for me to go through 4 cartomizers in one work day.

Don't put so much pressure on the amount that you are vaping. Any cigarette skipped by vaping is a huge leap forward for your health.....don't try to set artificial limits before you even start, that will only lead to frustration and pressure, which increases the likelihood of smoking. Just vape when you want to....after a few weeks, then maybe decide on how much and how often (and even how strong nic you need).

Good luck on your vaping journey.......and don't worry, you're gonna love it, and you will find your balance, don't pressure yourself into artificial limits, everyone is different in what they require to do away with cigs.

VAPE ON

EDIT: I think I overlooked one question.....this will be nothing like your experience with the small carts....a properly filled cartomizer will provide a couple hours of heavy vaping with never a dry hit, and you CAN drain it completely with very little loss of flavor (vapor will actually INCREASE as it gets close to dry, this is my signal to top off or change cartos)

Alright cool man, so if I refill them as they still have maybe half left it will keep them running longer? Good info. The only reason I am trying to set a limit is because money is real tight. Half the reason I want to vape. I spend maybe 300 a month if not more on analogs so after buying a good kit it looks like I can save a lot of money. How much juice would you suggest to keep stocked at basically all times?

..... How much juice would you suggest to keep stocked at basically all times?

I may not be a good one for that question, I am not comfortable without a safe months worth on hand. For me, a very heavy vaper, that is about 100ml. But the cost of 100ml is less than what I was spending in 5 days on cigarettes.

Depends on how often you get paid, and what you are comfortable with......my strategy was to use the money I would have spent smoking, to stock up in the beginning.....even with the cost of starter equipment, I found I had a 3 month supply on hand just by using my first month's cig allowance. Remember, as you find flavors you really like, it is much cheaper to stock up a bit and avoid so many repeated shipping charges.

You really need to use as you need for at least a few weeks before trying to nail all this down so precisely, you will be much more relaxed if so, and it will make the journey much easier and ultimately increase your chances of complete success.

Oh alright cool, that edit helped a lot. I just need something better then the blu to get off analogs and it seems the 510 is a good starting point for me. I'm guessing from what everyone says the eGo will be in my near future or something to that matter.

510 saved my life.....eGo saved my sanity.....Bartleby saved my wallet

Would recommend any of these to anyone

YMMV
