Hi guys, I seem to have an issue I can't get rid of.

I'm using the Subtank Mini in the Subox kit, with the RBA.

I build my coils at 0.6 ohm, 4 spaced wraps of 26AWG using the CoilMaster jig tool, I fire the coil a few times after building to make sure there are no hot spots, the coils always come out pretty well.

For wicking I use Muji cotton pads and I vape it at around 26-27W. My problem is that no matter how much I try wicking, I seem to always get a burnt hit here and there.

For wicking I usually peel the top layers of the cotton, insert it into the coil, and cut the cotton on the edges of the tank base, basically I'm using the method shown in this video by Cage Clouds:

Skip to 12:00 for the wicking.

I've tried using more cotton, tried less cotton, but I just can't get it right, I always get burnt hits.

Would love some assistance. Thanks

I wick mine with Japanese cotton, trim it in the same spot as in video. I put the chimney over the wick as is, (no "bunny ears") then I move the cotton around so holes are covered. This has always worked perfect for me.

I am running a 26/32 clapton 4/5 wraps on a 3mm rod and it comes out to .7 ohms. I vape heavy vg (90). I can chain VAPE it with no dry hits.

Oh-- I use enough cotton to pull through with some resistance but not tight.

Hope this helps.

Hate to ask this, but are you priming your wick? Also, when rocking a new coil or wick setup, after priming, start pulling on it with no fire button being pressed and don't inhale. Then after a few pulls, start pulling the same way(still not inhaling though) but this time fire it at low wattage. Keep doing this until you reach your target range. By then you should be able to get full flavour and vape production (you can inhale now btw). Should be no cotton burn. This method breaks in the cotton and the coil together. Hope it helps

I use this Technique for the v2 RBA Sections. It works Great...

My way of perfect wicking of the Subtank. Trust me, it works every time.

But here is the 64,000 Dollar Question. What type of VG:pG e-Liquid do you use. And have you tried adding a couple of Drops of Water into your tank when you fill it?
