Hi guys,

I really enjoyed my iClear 30s, but since the tank is made out of plastic, i'm thinking of switching to something else.

If i want good taste, good throat hits, and is easy to fill, should I get a top coil clearomizer ? and if heavier consumption of e-liquid is not a major concern, should i go with a dual coil or a single coil?

My iClear 30s' replaceable atomizer(or is it coil heads? the stuff that we need to replace) lasted me a very long time, i believe 2 weeks of heavy usage (though the performance did decrease a bit, but it lasted me a long time nonetheless) so I'm hoping to find a good clearomizer that also has such quality so I wouldn't have to keep replacing the coil heads every 1-2 days. Which I hear is the case for Pro tank 2.

*will be using it with my ProVari 2.5

Personally I've only had luck with Kanger products. I'm getting at least 2 weeks out of the coils for my protanks depending on what juice I'm using. You do have to occasionally rinse them off or if they get really gunked up throw em in a pot of boiling water for 15 minutes. When I need to switch I throw the dirty coil in an old pill bottle then when that gets full I boil the lot. I've been rotating the same 10 coils for a couple months now. I'm only a moderate vaper though, I'm not sure how long they'd hold up to heavy use.

I really enjoy my nautilus mini with bvc coils it holds around 2ml, so its on the small side. I recently bought a silo lite from beyond vape, the site lists it a over 3ml and uses aspire bvc coils (regular not the nautilus coils). I have an aspire ET-S with bvc coils as well, very nice but the nautilus bvc coils are noticeably better. Depending on my juice and how I'm using them (I go between 2-3 tanks changing flavors) my aspire coils last me a few weeks.

actually i started using the iClear 30s that came with my ProVari starter kit, because the IBTanked carts were such a horrible experience for me.
i primed the carts very well each time, but out of the 8 carts i purchased, a few were simply faulty, and rest just never lasted that long.

In addition, i had to constantly prime the carts over and over, because it dries up so quickly everytime... then i tried washing the old carts, filled them with liquid again and hope it would perhaps last me for another day or two, and while 1-2 did work for a day, the rest didn't work at all and i ended up wasting additional e-liquid.

I've had it with cartomizers to be honest.

with iClear, one coil head lasted me roughly 2 weeks and everything was just so much more convenient.

Hi. I really like my iClear 30S. These coils last a LOOONG time. Longer than any other coil. Longer than the aspire BDC, BVC, or the Nautilus BVC coils. Longer than my top coil Tritons (which gives great flavor). Longer than the iClear x.1.

The tank only has a few drawbacks. One, and this is a big one, the coil has a lot of wicking inside of it. If you are the kind who keeps one juice in a tank, then you are fine. But the coil doesn't lend itself to changing flavors.

Two, the coil is ugly. It looks like the muffler off of a snowblower.

Three, and it seems the OP's concern, the plastic tank. However, I have not had any problems. I have glass tanks for those hot juices (citrus, cinnamons, etc.)

Other than those items, it is a really good tank. I've never had a dry hit or a gurgle. No leaks. It just works!

syrianrue, I wouldn't switch. Just get a few glass tanks. I like the bottom vertical coils, either in the nautilus mini or in aspire vivinova S tanks. (different coil, but still BVC)

I have a Beyond Vape Silo Lite in shipping, somewhere.... At $15, it's cheaper, bigger and less prone to breaking than the Nautilus mini, and it looks better. And it takes the aspire regular BVC coils, like the vivinova S. (not the nautilus coils)

The 3 tricks to coil life for me are these. 1) Prime a new coil with a drop or two of juice, then fill and wait till it wicks up completely. I try to give them 20 or more minutes. 2) Start at the lowest setting on your device, or a half spent battery for you non VV or VW peeps. Take a few hits, then slowly turn it up till you get to your sweet spot. Don't let those first few hits be at 15+ watts, or 5+ volts! Break it in, maybe 10 hits total till you reach your spot.

And 3) When VapingMe has a 40% off sale on coils, you jump on it! They have had the 40% off coil sale twice in the last 3 months. I grabbed the nautilus BVCs, the regular BVCs, the 30S ugly coils, etc. Any coil life is a bit better when you get them at that price!

Good luck!!!
