Is it just me, or do some tanks and batteries just not play well with each other? I have had issues with EVERY Kanger (Evod & Protank) I have ever tried. But so many people swear by them. On the other hand, I have had great success with the Aspire BDC line and I have seen several posts here calling them junk. I have 2 itaste vv and MVP2. It is also worth noting that the Evod tanks actually didn't have many problems on my starter eGo battery. It was after my initial upgrade (first vv) that they started acting up.

Well I suppose it depends on what issues you are having. Is it a leaking issue? I've had that with a lot of bottom coil tanks. So far the only bottom coil tank I have that doesn't leak out the atty is my aerotank which so far I'm liking a lot. I still prefer my iclear 30 tanks but the aero is moving its' what up in my preference.

Most problems with atomizers of any brand is caused by user error, and not understanding how to operate and maintain it properly. Of course there is always the possible issue of "bad batch" of coil heads and counterfeits, but think most of those claims can be attributed to user error. This is a beginners/entry level atomizer after all, so beginners are going to have the most issues with them from lack of understanding.

Can't help but notice the condescending overtones in your statement. As far as my issues with Kanger products, I can assure you it wasn't operator error. And I'm also pretty sure there are lots of vapers out there who have years of experience and still prefer the ease of use that comes with these particular tanks etc.

I've had no problem with my protank mini II v 2s with my eGo batteries, but I did/do have trouble with a couple of fake ones (I didn't know they were fake when I bought them!). One of the fakes works well enough (not great, but not awful) once I replaced the head with a real Kanger coil head, and the other one is awful and tastes like burnt plastic about 80% of the time no matter what I do, even with a real Kanger coil head. I bought the fakes at the same time and same place, so I don't know why. But with the real ones, I've personally had no problem with at all, and totally love them.

Hmm, don't see anywhere that I said the "K" word, believe I used the term "any brand". And no condescending was intended at all, just stating the fact that most problems with most atomizers is due to user error. Sorry if you took exception to my input, but tis what it is. Lets face it, these things don't come with a step by step instruction on filling, wick saturation, tightness, proper cleaning and maintaining, and so forth and so on.

I've never had problems with my Kanger Mt3s or T3s tanks.

My friend on the other hand has constant leaking problems. We narrowed it down to the citrus based liquid he was using. (which I never use myself)

I was wondering if it had to do with the velocity of the liquid. I'm using 80/20 and on my new order I ordered 50/50. Maybe that will help in my situation?

Wicking issues are usually in play - too much and you get gurgling, too little and you get the dreaded burnt taste. In my experience, good wicking is usually a matter of matching the thickness of the flavor wicks to the type of juice I'm using. With a thicker juice, you may need to take one, or all, of them out. With thinner juice, you might need to add some cotton or a thin strand of silica. Also, take a look at the coil - if it's unevenly wrapped or if it's shoved off to one side or the other, that can contribute to leaking, gurgling or bad flavor. Straightening the coil and evening out the wraps can sometimes improve things significantly.

I think it's a combination of many things; initial quality, individual expectations, lack of knowledge, so on... My EVOD kit came with two batteries/MT3 tanks and 5 extra coils. One coil failed instantly (or was bad to start), the other is still working after a month. Then I ohm checked the other coils with all different results: and two had to be wiggled to get any contact. Much better results now that I'm rebuilding my own and know a little about it.

It's probably worth noting that I never run my batts over 7.5 - 8 watts. And the Evods leaked and tasted awful. Lots of dry hits.

Sorry, but I've never met a clearomizer that I liked! Started with the Vivi Nova's and on from there! Friends come over with an Aspire or whatever and tell me how wonderful it is. I clean out a carto tank and pop in a new carto with their juice and hand that to them and have a hard time getting it back!
Go from your air conditioned house to the heat outside and it won't vape! Go from hot to cold and they leak! I like 8 watts myself, nope, don't even think about going that high, forget about a warm vape for that matter! It will burn your juice every time!
I think they are popular because they are cheap, easy to set up and the market is flooded with them! I've yet to find anyone that has really tried anything else, that likes them!
So with the cold vape, muted flavors, dry hits and leaks, I'll pass, give me a carto tank, or a rebuildable, and whoever can enjoy all of my clearomizers, because I'm done even trying them anymore!
