Constant Priming?

When I use carts, I do the same thing. I tend to vape until the cart/atty is pretty dry and find that a few drops helps to kick start the new cart.

If you flood it, you will know. Vapor production will be poor, and the thing will leak from where the battery connects up to the atty.

If that happens, remove atty from the battery, remove the cart, and blow into both ends of the atty into a piece of paper toweling. Clean up the rest of the mess, and start again.

In the end, I think it is pretty much a 'whatever method works best for you' sort of thing.

Whenever I refill my carts I prime my atomizer with a few drops. Is this a bad idea? good idea?
If it works, it's a good idea.
If it isn't working so well, then it might be a bad idea.
:)

No, but seriously, it really depends.

A completely dry atomizer, like one that has just been cleaned, can hold a lot more drops.
An atomizer that is starting to lose flavor or taste funky can probably only take a few drops.

The thing is, there is a mesh that surrounds the coil pot in the atomizer.
And it can hold a fair amount of juice.

I don't know the exact physics of what's happening, but my observations are that it all depends on how often and how hard you're hitting it, how long it has been since your last drag, and how much juice is REALLY left in there.

Honestly, I think this is very much a topic that has not been fully explored yet.
Unless of course they've already done so in the geek subforums.
:D

If so, I hope some of them chime in.
:)

Am I risking the chance of flooding my atomizer?
Sure you are.

Whenever you put juice in your atomizer you risk flooding it.
Especially if you don't have a good handle on how much juice it still has.

But flooding your atomizer is nothing to be scared of.
Just blow it out and start over.

1 or 2 drops is good. Likely would take 3... 4 will flood a regular 510. Low Resistance attys are a different story - I haven't been able to flood one yet. They will sizzle though ;-) So on a regular 510 putting 2 drops on the atty bridge during a refill is good, unless you also overfill the cartridge, then some flooding can occur. Fill the cartridge until you see it is wet but can still see some texture on the filler - ie. not a smooth bubble.
