How much eliquid do you consume daily? How much does it cost you?

I've only been doing this a couple of days, I've got a 1.6ml tank & I don't empty it in one day... probably half full, maybe a little less.

I'm fine with that, I plan on adjusting the tobacco strength, to keep my consumption at that level, at least less than 1.6ml/day

That's me taking between 3 & 5 drags (5 seconds or so) 10 times a day. I know it's only been a few days, my habits are going to change, especially since I'll be experimenting with the nic strength, but I was just wondering how much it's going to cost. The first two bottles of ejuice I got were 10ml bottles for $6. At my current rate, that 10ml bottle will last 6 days. So... that's about a dollar a day.

Cigarettes would cost me a little more at $1.60 a day (1 pack of Pall Malls every 3 days). I'm not too concerned that I'm not saving as much as you guys, but looking at some of your sigs..... I can't imagine how much ejuice you're consuming & how many cigarettes you used to consume, so I thought I'd ask.

I'm finding my wife and I go through about 4-5 mls a day (combined) when the PV is close at hand all day. On work days it's probably 2-3 mls. Moving from buying 4 packs of cigarettes every few days(@ ~$9.50 ea) the savings is there. I know my favorite e-liquid vendors love the steady orders. After I find out what we really enjoy vaping; I'll most likely get into DIY so that I can experiment further.

I just did some calculations for the non-DIY guys and came up with this.

I use 3ml of juice per day on average

3ml X 30 days in a month is 90ml per month

Avg cost of juice is between $0.35 and $0.90 per ml which is an average of $0.62 per ml

So $0.62 X 90ml per month = $55.80 per month divided by 30 days = $1.86 per day

It can be difficult for me to keep track, since I have tons of smaller tanks with all kinds of flavors & brands going at the same time...

I used to smoke 25-30 cigs a day..

At the max, if I'm literally at home all day doing nothing but sitting in front of the computer & vaping heavily, I probably do about 5ml a day

Depending on how much I buy with sales / discount codes, I typically pay about 40-60 cents/ml for some really good juices

So... I probably spend about $2.50 a day on juice, max. Significant financial savings over analogs for me, even when factoring in vape equipment

Also heading down the road of diluting with unflavored nic base, or even vaping with completely unflavored...

I have never actually done the math...so let me think about it. I vape max about 10ml per day...and it's all diy.

Nicotine 1000ml 100mg(paid 85$ shipped) and I use 3mg juice so...that is 1ml per 30ml bottle...so...23 cents per 30ml bottle, about 16 cents of nic per day...

my most expensive flavorings cost around 20 bucks for 120 ml. At 20% flavoring per bottle that is 6mil...2ml flavoring per day come out to about .50 cents i think. This is the MOST I would ever use, but mostly I have around 15% flavorings. But we will say im vaping the most expensive juice I can make.

I use 10% saline solution, I make it myself, so probably like a penny a bottle max lol...but ill count it.

VG runs me about 15 dollars per 1000ml. If I use 20% flavorings and 10% saline solution and .5 nic I am using right around 23ml per bottle that comes out to about 35 per 30ml bottle\3 equals....lets say 12 cents

waste...you almost always have minor waste in any diy so lets say 2 cents.

Bottles were free, because I just keep using ones I bought juice in previously. Tape and a pen to label, 3 cents.
so that means...
nic .16
flavors .50
vg .12
saline .01
waste .02
labels .03

grand total...around .84 cents a day. And that is for my most expensive juices at maximum consumption. That's much more cost effective than the 2.5 packs of ciggys a day...that now run about 7.50 a pack here.

Great detailed answer, but you also need to factor in the amortized cost of DIY equipment like syringes & pipettes.. ;)

I crush 3 - 5 ml of juice per day at a cost of ~$.40/ml = $1.20 - $2.00 / day. A significant savings over the $10/day I spent on cigarettes (lousy tax grabbing socialist Canadian governments...).

I'm just gonna quote this because this sounds about right for me for both the juice and cigarettes. I am horrible with math lol.

10 ml per day, my tanks chew liquids. And I vape a lot. I DIY, and my cost is $0.35 for 10 ml.

When I amortize out everything, it totals to $0.53 per day. That includes battery wear, liquid, cost to rebuild coils, equipment, and so on.

Or, about $16 per month or $200 per year.

That's a far cry from my 2 1/2 pack per day cig habit, which set me back $24.25 per day, $740 per month, or $8,850 per year.

between current in-hand DIY and vendors, my spreadsheet says liquid costs me $1.96 per day for 5ml. x7= $13.72

it's usually less than this, but I have a lot of vendor juice and not a lot of DIY going on right now.

cigarettes were almost $7 a pack when I quit, probably 3 packs per week. = $21.00

so I'm saving.. it varies.. but in all honesty, even if I wasn't, I'd still be vaping.

I vape 10ml a day, and between the wife and I, we crush 100ml a week which is about $40 per week in juice for both of us. When both of us smoked, it was $20 per day for both of us.

Lately we have been on a Five Pawns kick, and 100ml a week is about $90 per week, which is still far cheaper than what we were spending on smokes.

We both use RBA's so it runs us about a penny for a new wick every day or two, and about 2 cents to wrap a new coil every couple of weeks. This allows us to spend more on juice and not feel guilty.

A member ( Chimney34 ) recommended this app to keep track of expenses. It's called vapemate. I have the iPhone so I don't know if it's available for other cell phones. It keeps track of everything you buy. It shows you the money spent on cigs vs on vaping. Also runs a timer to show how long you have quit smoking.....a very nice app!!!

I vape about 6 mils a day at 18 mg nic. I vape 100% VG juice, so I have about 10 vendors I purchase from. I usually wait until they have a sale going on that gives me 20-25% off and then I stock up. I have a few juices I like from MBV and EC Blend that are around 15-20 cents a mil on sales, but most of the vendors I use are 40-50 cents a mil when they are running a sale. I keep a large stock of juice on hand so I'm not pressed to buy when I can't get my best price.
