Had a small fire in my home office yesterday.. ROFL..

fortunately.. I caught it just in time.. and no serious damage.. I have so many electronics in there.. it could have been a total disaster..

Plus my super tiny sister was over for the weekend (which is why I was mia this weekend).. the office doubles as a guest bedroom (for her only.. everyone else gets the couch ;p) could have been worse.. she could have been sleeping while it happened.. life is good!

Had a 1tb external HD enclosure that was TURNED OFF.. the USB on the circuit board began to short.. and literally melted the enclosure.

HD is ok.. it serves as my third backup device.. I have a raid 10 server all individually cooled HDs.. with an SSD performing OS duties.

I had a double mastectomy last Monday (July 30).
Urgent revision of both mastectomies August 8th because the reconstruction wasn't taking and the skin was dying.
(It's been a rough couple of weeks. )

Got home from the hospital yesterday, August 9, in time to celebrate my oldest child's 6th birthday.
I had birthday cake, watched him open presents, sang 'Happy Birthday', and felt so blessed.

I love my family.
We're going to be OK...

Oh Lettuce* Sweet 'heart* I am not posting I am ill..but I read this and just HAD to say something ..first I am so sorry to hear that sweet one...and you know I have you in my thoughts..{{{{{hugs}}}} and oh goodness you are amazing..you were blessed..you spent it with your son.and your loved ones..oh so happy you did and you were there and that you have them too. Oh goodness you are special....Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers..truly you will...what a post..bless you for sharing that with all of us.
