Don't know if I missed the official deadline but I got this finished today:

Fall means Halloween. Halloween means carving pumpkins. Carving pumpkins means I get to make stuff like this:

Red, orange, and yellow all
One by one the leaves will fall
Wind in the trees, a siren's call
As time itself drops to a crawl
As weather shifts the cool breeze blows
Between summer, winter, interposed
The sunset disperses gentle rose
Signalling time to take repose
Evenings by fire so serene
The daylight becomes so lesser seen
The flock flies south to reconvene
And time steps back, won't intervene
Pumpkins turn to works of art
As nature itself gets a fresh start
Change settles within the heart
And time itself seems set apart

I enjoy driving down a street and seeing smoke coming out of a chimney, rolling down my window and smelling the burning wood.
