WOW....I had one of those experiences as a kid with Jose Canseco.....He was an ARROGANT SOB in the minors.....played for the Huntsville stars.....and NEVER did autographs, snubbed his fans with a hand as if they were nothing more than pests!.....got Mark McGuires that day though....Super nice guy who absolutely LOVED his fans!

You know I used to feel this way until first hand at Brickyard last year I witnessed:

He was talking in front of several fans and when he went to exit several of the fans lined up for autographs: He personally said, "I don't do autographs" and rode away. (Made me very sad)

Now I am sure he gets that all the time but when you have the fans who made you who you are.....what, REALLY, did I just hear that?

We got Kenseth's autograph that day, Kahne's (and his crew was getting on to him saying "Come on we gotta go"). Several others, and one of them (can't remember who) said as he got on his golf cart, "If you can keep up I will keep signing" and he did.

This, I did not know. What a putz! I mean, I can understand how incredible exhausted you'd be after a race, or how focused you would have to get before one, but really?
