I had a cat that had a rather unique way of getting you awake to get him kibbles. If you were sleeping on your back, rather than do something raucous he would sneak up on you and bite you on the nose. Not hard enough to break skin, just enough that you felt "wet cat mouth" on your schnozz and... yup, worked every time.

That cat drove me crazy but he was special.
