A friend/co-worker of mine that was a long time pack a day smoker is finally off the cigs! I started vaping a few months ago and he stated he tried the cig-a-likes and hated them. So when we worked together I'd show him my new devices and all that. One day he mentioned he might like to try vaping again. So without asking if he wanted me to, I gave him my iTaste VV3 and a mini Protank to try and bought him a bottle of tobacco e-juice. So far he hasn't went back and he seems to be really into it. I still haven't got my VV3 back lol

Just thought I'd share a success story!!!

It is really good when you convert someone - I just did the same with a co-worker. I am into rebuildables but that scares new vapers. So I also usually recommend Itaste VV and some clearos. This setup is simple, low maintenance and relatively cheap. I also give newly converted vapers some samples of juice (I have far too much of that anyway) to see what they like - most new vapers think tobacco is what they want but some find fruit or dessert vapes are more satisfying. I have a setup ready to lend out - so if someone I know wants to try they can.

Good for you! Just be careful. Once they get used to going through you for supplies, all of a sudden you become their vape supplier, tech support, and maintenance.

He's already went out on his own to buy some juice and a backup ego battery. (I had to show him how to turn it on, 5 clicks instead if the VV3's 3) We are planning a trip to a B&M for his own stuff soon. We live in different towns and our off time schedules don't match up well.

This is exactly how I started vaping. I had a guy at work that was vaping and I asked him if that really worked. He answered my questions and pointed me in the direction of a local B&M. It took about three months for me to actually take the plunge but he helped change my life by just answering a few questions. I turned a guy at another job on to the same shop. I saw him this past Friday and he is 12 weeks in and has no desire to smoke at all. This is a small sense of accomplishment that you can offer advice that will hopefully help someone change their lives for the better. Plant the seed and when the time is right, it will flourish!

Good job. First one's free. But when they come back..... & they always come back, they'll pay anything you....

Oh wait a minute, I thought we were talking about something else.

Lol, yup, it is great to get converts...I just got a "second tier" convert (feels like Amway, huh?). Got my sister off a 30 year habit and when her teacher co-workers saw, and tried hers, they wanted to give it a go. My sister gave a girl her "hand me down" ego and a clearo, and some juice to get started. Girl called today and said she smoked (0) cigs yesterday and cant believe how easy it was!!!!! This "revolution" must be scaring the crap outta BT and BP!

Since I have started vaping, I have given away several set ups. Right after I started there were 2 online sites that had going our of business sales, so I got basic ego's for about 80% off. I bought 20 of them, and tanks. My son, his GF, my foundling son, his GF, 3 friends, 1 brother, 1 nephew, 2 neighbors and several co-workers. All but 1 are now non-smokers. Best money I have ever spent.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I told him now that he's seen how easy it can be that he needs to spread the word when he can. I did tell him that if he needs anything recoiled that it would cost him lol I prob wouldn't charge him but since I said it he may be more reluctant to "use" me. Not the best word to use. I did tell him about the forum and that I learned pretty much everything I know from here and YouTube.

Outstanding !!

I saw a guy at a job site vaping and questioned him on it. All the usual questions. He took the time to answer me and a week later I bought an EVOD starter kit.

Still a smoker but my intake has dropped considerably and I know one day I'll toss the analogs for good.

It's always good when a vaper can turn a smoker on to vaping and get them started on the road to quitting
