Convince the wife?

Hey all,

Just got my first rig (eGo-C Twist & Dbox Puritank) and love it so far! Even though I was using the disposables while waiting for fasttech and my wife knew I had purchased the rig, she got upset about it when I put it all together and had my first vape.

Her concern is the nicotine and whether it will harm me. I need some help (links, articles, whatever) to convince her it's OK.

Hey, I know I am addicted to nicotine. I can live with that. I just want the delivery system to be safer

Did you use to smoke analog cigarettes? if so remind her that you not getting the harmful 4000 chemicals now that you was getting from smoking.

I'm very fortunate that my family and friends are happy for me now that I switched to the E-cigs and am not smoking plus I can breath waaaaay better and feel waaaaay better too

Yes, I did smoke. About a pack a day and completely quit around mid-March this year. She's happy about that and so am I. Totally better physically like you said.

By about July, I still wanted a smoke (badly) and rather than become a grouch, I started doing the disposables. Basically, they suck so I went looking for a better solution and found this forum and the world of vaping

And then maybe sit down with her and plan out a nicotine step-down schedule. Don't try to rush it, look at maybe a 2 year plan where you aim for between 6 and zero mg.

Finally, consider talking to your doctor. He may just be in your corner (mine was).

I was in the same boat. The key is that you are not smoking analogs any more. Just wait until you start buying MODS......

Even though I have saved many hundreds of dollars, seems every penny is too much. Lol

Simplest answer is its about as dangerous by itself as caffeine.

As stated previously its the delivery system and the other harmful chemicals in cig's which cause the health related problems. The nicotine is the addictive substance which keeps smokers on cigs in spite of all of that though.

Get her some yummy fruity flavor and have her give it a go.. Next thing you know she'll have an ego twist with a mini protank and is vaping 0nic for the taste lol...Well, that's how it went down with me.

In fact, when my wife has a sweet tooth, she vapes some candy flavor and swears that it helps.

Big, that is an excellent idea! I have to be coy though. She's as smart as a whip (is why I married her and why we are still here after 23 years ) and would see through a poorly thought out plan.
