By far the coolest (and priciest) Ego-shape battery I have is the 3-stage (3 voltage) Ego (clone) battery from GotVapes

5-clicks to go between 3.2, 3.7 and 4.2 volts

Block of red light bars near the bottom indicate charge left

Ring of light around battery near button displays voltage (red=3.2, red & blue-3.7, blue=4.2)

Beyond that - mods. 3.7v (which is a bit hotter than Ego) 510-threaded mods. Mine are cheap plastic box mods ($20 plus a couple of $5 protected Li Ion or AW IMR batteries to swap and a charger for about $10). In ECF Buying & Selling... Modders & Accessories you can find several people who make box mods. Then there are all of the pricier mods too.

"Mods" are not only 3.7v - there are many different 5 volt, 6 volt and variable volt PV's that many consider quite cool looking. The 5 volt GLV2 is one of the most unique looking PV's on the market and it's one of the best built PV's on the market. But they all tend to be a little bigger than an ego style PV.

You can also get a tank atty that lights up. Check out Stormy's if you want to try one out:

I would love to have one of those for around the house. I don't quite know about pulling that thing out in public, the thing almost looks like a bomb detonator.

I use a Darwin and vape everywhere with it. There are several threads about vaping in public and there is a strong concensus that vaping with a PV that does not look like the real thing brings much more positive results and comments. I know that has been my experience. The only negative comments I ever received was the short time I used a cigarette sized PV. Once I moved to the better models, I only recieved positive comments.

The more we get AWAY from any association (especially appearance) with smoking, the better it will be for all of us and the perceptions of the public at large.

I am looking to buy another Ego style battery, but want something cool. I am a sucker for stuff that lights up. Anyone have any suggestions?

I just got a really cool VariVolt (which sounds like it may be the same thing as what dormouse was talking about). It has 3 different color LEDs and a battery bar that also lights up. Are you looking for lights only or decoration type "cool"? Lots of vendors have skins. I have seen a bunch of sites, but have only ever dealt with Nhaler.

How much were you seeing the 3 volts for?

I like both - I vape Riva 510 (from Liberty-Flights.com because their kits are new stock Eastmall-made which are 3.7v) and I use the 3-stage Ego clone.

I like to use different eGo styles and clones, too. Variety is the spice of life (and vaping)! :D

I'm liking the Riva VV eGo clone a whole bunch, Swedishfish! My eGo dual coil mega cartos don't fit on them exactly, but it's still doable if I don't have a genuine eGo on me. I'm really digging the dual coil 1.5 ohm cartos on them; depending on the juice I'm vaping, I can warm up the vapor by switching to a higher voltage AND up the voltage when the battery is getting near to charging time. I also concur with liking the charge indicator LOTS - no more surprise multiple flashes! :)
