true story,,the place i work at has about 600 people working there.we went tobacco free in early september.prior to that we were going outside to have smoke breaks.now its tobacco free everywhere on their property.along with the tobacco free policy came quit smoking help..the company agreed to give each employee 400 dollars for stop smoking aides.such as nicorette,chantrix,hypnosis,etc..and get this --e cig cartridges!!thay wont buy the ecig kits,,just carts..so far so good!!now get this,,the union went to the company and requested that the company let people VAPE in the breakrooms, after all if you can chew nicorette on break, why not be able to vape??well the company resisted at first,,then gave in...wicked!!!now some of us are vaping inside like humans in the breakrooms..but we cant vape outside in the old smoking areas because it looks 2 real!!so we can only vape inside..so far so good.but heres the weird part,,some people that are smokers refuse to use the ecig for whatever reason so they just jones all day for 12 hours,,,,why???has anybody heard stories like this???ps.4 months ago i didnt know what an e-cig was..now i do.and i like it..i was over a pack a day for 20 years..i hate to think of the damage that i did to myself...never again will i smoke...only vape...

There are going to be more than a few people who are smokers who will absolutely turn a deaf ear to anyone who vapes especially those who try to show or tell them about e-cigs. I'm not sure what it is, maybe they are just plain old school or have had enough and are fed up with all the anti-smoking BS that has been shoved down their (our) throats, but I've learned to quickly identify those who could care less and I turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to them so I don't have to listen to them either.

All we can do is go on our merry ways enjoying a healthier life and when the opportunity arises to explain and demonstrate our new-found lifesavers to someone who cares, we do so. Every single time I read a post here by someone who says that they have been able to convince someone else to at least try the e-cig it just makes my day. I can proudly say that I have a few confirmed notches who are now "former-smokers" and I intend to purchase a few kits to give as presents next month.

When I read a story like yours about smoking allowed in the workplace I think it's great because it may go quite a way to the acceptance of vaping at work as a general rule, a normally accepted practice. Every morning I spend some time at the local coffee shop shootin' the breeze with some friends and openly vape because I took the time to explain it to the owner who has no objection to me doing so.

One step at a time, or should I say one human at a time...
