I have bought a coolfire iv and noticed that the battery only lasts for about 2 and a half tanks of juice is this normal?

All depends on the wattage you are using, and resistance

The higher wattage the shorter battery life.

I grew up in Kentucky. A little town between London and Livingston. That little fly speck called East Bernstadt.

I am in Tucson, AZ for the foreseeable future.

where are you located?

I must be doing something wrong. I vape between 12-14 watts (4.2 volts) and I get about a day and a half before I need to charge it.

Mine must be defective!

When I was a teenager there was always someone who owned the exact same muscle car that would beat all the others like it in a quarter mile. Go figure ... must be something to do with my Kayfun 3. Either that, or that I'm always vaping it or it's in my pocket cooling off (but not for long).

I do tend to charge it when the battery symbol is at about 1/4 to prevent stressing the battery down to cutoff, but sometimes it dies about supper time when I'm not watching it.

It's a shame that the CF IV doesn't have a replaceable battery. That makes it a throwaway when the battery won't maintain charge.
