Price would depend on what model, and what comes in the kit.

After doing a bunch of research, I finally bought my first kit on 12/27/09, A KR808D-1 kit. I like the simplicity of it, its only 2 pieces, and it is easy to refill.

I received my kit today and I have smoked only 3 real cigarettes all day. One of my friends helped give it a true test after dinner tonight, he lit up a real smoke, I used my new kr8. After about 3 puffs, I didn't feel like I needed that after dinner cigarette anymore, and unlike when I tried quitting with gum, his smoke didn't make me envious/angry at all. In fact it was kind of the opposite, after spending a few hours smoking some RY4 on my spare battery, he said that he found his real cigarette less enjoyable.

KR808D-1 Kit cost me $39.95.
Includes:
2 KR808D-1 Auto Switch Batteries
1 usb charger
5 cartomizers in my choice of flavor
10ml bottle of 24mg juice in my choice of flavor.

Same deal with only 1 battery, instead of 2, is $29.99

Average juice price = $0.50/ml

I'm also newb, so I hope this helps you.

My kit ran $35 but add in a few carts, juice, and a couple of charger accessories and I think I totalled out right at $66. That was for everything a few things I didn't absolutely need and enough supplies to keep me going for a few weeks. That was for a KR808D-1 starter kit
I figure $65 for about 3 weeks of smoking is cheaper than what I currently pay to smoke analogs. Now that I've bought the initial kit and such I can definitely see where, after the initial investment I'm going to save a ton of money over analogs
