I bought the "Twisp" starter pack rather than what has been described as "cheap
Chinese generic equivalents" which seem to be problematic, especially the atomisers.
The Twisp in extremely expensive compared to the other brands - In South Africa R250 for
a battery (that would be about $25 ??)
20ml bottle liquid same price.
In two months I've had a battery pack up and now my spare atomiser.
Who said e-cigarettes were the cheaper alternative?

I've been off proper cigarettes for the full two months . It is not easy, as the nicotine strength
is so weak, even using the strongest liquid, and I'm constantly topping up with drops of liquid
and having to recharge the batteries.

I may be wrong here, but Twisp is the name of the shops that stock Janty products, and if that is the case, then the Janty guarantee would be in effect.

There is a South African sub forum here, so it may be a good idea to join that, and ask there, however I am pretty sure if you took the battery and atomiser back to Twisp, they would replace it.

At first it can seem as though the juice isnt going to satisfy your craving, but remember, your body has been used to addictions to more than just nicotine, and will be craving those chemicals too.

Those toxins will now be leaving you, so dont worry, you are almost there. If your batteries are not full power, that will also reduce the effect of the juice.

Keep at it.. you are doing well...

Thanks Christina,
Yes, Twisp is powered by Janty. I have sent them an e-mail with my complaints. Hoping for a response.
However, the instruction leaflet that came with the starter pack states that battery and cartridge has a three month guarantee,
nothing for atomisers. The pharmacy where I bought the pack confirmed this when I tried to get a replacement from them.

Someone else mentioned that your body may be craving the other chemicals found in cigs that you wouldn't be getting in e-cig usage.

That said, I'm pretty sure the nicotine itself in high-mg nic doses for e-cigs is plenty for most everyone or everyone. I tried vaping 60mg straight once (before I cut it). My heart was racing, was sweating, basically tweaking out. I couldn't fall asleep for several hours afterwards and it was very obvious that I had indeed vaped 60mg nic juice. This is coming from a guy that smoked a pack of marl reds per day, then later went to roll your own unfiltereds.

I know that there is a fairly big debate on exactly how much nicotine (or effective nicotine) that our body gets when we vape compared to smoking regular cigs, but I for one get my ... royally kicked off of 60mg. 24mg seems perfect, as I've tried 36mg as well.

I know everyone's experience with losing attys and batts differs based on their usage, maintenance, and simple luck. Personally I have been very happy so far with my atty and batt situation. Been vaping something like 44 days and have the same 2 original batts and 2 attys that I started with. One atty I had to "revive" with the crest mouthwash method, but as of now both work just fine. Never had an issue with either one of my batts. Also, at least for me, the short 510 battery life is a non-issue, my PCC makes taking my 510 out of house for even a full day no problem. I may have to switch/charge batts every couple hrs or so when I'm at home, but that's pretty painless. :)

Also cut my own 60mg liquid, so overall it's extremely cheap to vape for me. Something like 70 cents per day including liquid costs, attys, and batts. So far I'm actually ahead of the 70 cent curve due to not losing any attys or batts yet.
