So here are my thoughts
- Cotton is the wick material. Its the one used in most coils and DIY setups. Soaks and transport and usually breaks in and get dirty after a while depending on your juice
- Ceramic is used as wick as well. Transports, does not break in after a while. Should have a more clear taste. If bad ceramic you inhale small particles. There where rumors a while ago. Does not transport liquid very fast. Chain vaping or big clouds won't work.

- Nichrome is wire material. Common used. Has a lower resistance as kanthal for example but does keep his resistance when heaten up. Not like Stainless Steel where the resistance climbs up as hotter the wire gets. Thats why SS (stainless steel) can be used for Temperature Controlled vaping device while Nichrome or Kanthal cannot.

I do use ceramic as these pods/drop in coils usually last longer with my custard creme liquids. Mouth to loung only for ceramic i would say.

Ethan diy, what kit do you have please?

Cotton & Ceramic are wicking materials. Cotton is less forgiving with dry hits, as when it's dry it burns. Ceramic does not burn.

Nichrome is a metal that coils can be made from, there are many other metals that can be used and each one has different characteristics. See steam-engine.org.

And if you decide to progress further and get a proper mod with replaceable batteries, mooch has produced a battery guide that is essential reading.
