ok the way i dual coil my octopus is with cotton wick and i didn't have to drill new holes,

make sure to remember since you have 2 coils make them both 3 Ohms if you want 1.5 Ohms when its done
place bottom wick on like you normal would just as low to the bottom without touching as you can, then put top coil and wick in with long end going out opposite way and higher up. make sure they don't touch.
then bring the ends of the wick up together and twist just a bit to get them to stay.
