Cotton wick flooding?

Relative noob here, with a quick wick question. When rebuilding a Protank coil with cotton, is flooding a sign off too much or to little cotton?

too little generally - make sure you use a little as a "flavor wick"

Probably too little. Try to get about the same amount of cotton as the original silica. IIRC, the Kanger's are 3 mm in the coil, and two 1 mm flavor wicks. If you vape a thick juice, say heavy on the VG %, then you may want to go a little less on the flavor wicks. But from what you're relating, don't think you need to worry about that!

Thanks for the tip, I'll go give that a try. Have either of you tried cotton for a genesis build? I've only used ekowool in them so far.

Gotta make sure the cotton is making a secure seal where the post connects to the head of the atty. too much cotton and it won't wick right. Too less and it will flood. You'll find your sweet spot in no time though.

And yes I use cotton on rbas and rebuildables. More flavor and more clouds for me.

I'm not into sweet spots; I hang mine upside down so it don't leak.

That works when storing but if you don't have enough wick to seal the head then it will flood when in use. No need to adjust your routine to fix flooding when you can adjust your setup to fix it.
