Here's Todd:

AGA-T FG Wick - YouTube

I used cotton instead of silica for this, but the very same method. The taste was fab and the vapor was magnificently creamy, but it really was a pain in the ... for just the reason Todd suggests: getting the cotton strands into the weensy holes is a nightmare.

I'm using mesh now, even though I don't like it nearly as much, just because I don't have the patience to go through all that torture all over again. I hope somebody comes up with a brilliant solution to this problem, because cotton really does produce a great vape on this thing.

Just watched the video. Seems like you could remove the bottom of the tank, thread a small wire up through the bottom of the wick hole, wrap the wire around the cotton wick and pull it through. Like using fish tape to run electrical wire through a wall.

You may also consider cheese cloth as opposed to plain cotton. I have heard it has better results. Of course, I haven't tried it myself. my first RBA (AGA-T2) is in the mail.

Does anyone know of a video or tutorial on making a cotton wick for AGA T+ that does not use mesh at all?
