Cotton wick slow to absorb juice?

Hi, I just opened my first pack of cotton wicked coils for the eleaf GS Air tank. They're the 1.2 ohm coils. I forgot to let the juice get absorbed by the wick and got a dry hit. I remember reading here that you can never get the taste out of the coils when you do that so I changed to another fresh coil.

Well, even though I put drops of juice on the wick openings of the coil, it is still taking forever for the juice to wick. The upshot is I'm barely vaping at all now because I'm afraid of another dry hit.

Are there any tips or tricks to getting the cotton wick to absorb enough juice for every hit? I'm missing the silica coils because the cotton is really disappointing me. Thanks.

I've heard of people "fluffing" the cotton with a needle to help it wick. Since it's a GSA, you might ask in the GS air thread, they're pretty helpful over there.

Thank you! Now though, it will only open with Chrome and not Tapatalk lol. It's OK though, I just have to allow more time for the cotton to absorb juice. The silica was fast. I have vapers tongue right now and can't taste the juice so I can't really compare how the flavor is.
