you need to determine what ohm you want to get a better response. this will also vary based on gauge of wire you are using, as well as the build you will be doing. not sure if the trident can do dual coils as that will change the answer as well if doing more then one coil. you can use this outline to help better determine how much wire you need to use to hit your target ohm. If you use 32g and wrap a standard coil, 5-6 wraps will get you 1.5-1.7Ω on a 1/16" drill bit. With 30g, you'll need a few more wraps to stay in the same area.

IMO, 28g is more suited for lower Ω builds (i.e. sub-ohm) due to the thickness of the wire. It can be used on higher ohm builds, but it's going to take longer to heat up since the resistance is much higher, unless you crank up the wattage/voltage.

Here is my trident build with 2 1.6 ohm micro coils on my magneto. Come to 0.8 ohms. 1/16 bit, 7/8 wraps, with cotton.
