Just wanted to share my new cotton wick set up. I was using 1/6" micro's with cotton ball wick on my IGO-W and my kayfun's for a while now. Worked good for the most part. Thing is I got tired of guessing how much cotton to pull off the ball. It was always a hit or miss kind of thing. Well I had some cotton yarn I tried before but I always had to pull out one strand of the yarn to fit the micro coil.
I decided to build a coil to fit the yarn. I found that a #51 drill bit (.067) worked perfectly with the four strand yarn. Slides right in and now no more guessing if my cotton is to thick or too thin.
Both my kayfun's and rba's hits PERFECTLY now. I waited a couple days before posting this to give it a good workout. So far great
Try it ... You'll like it!!
IGO-W 8 wraps 28 ga kanthal around a #51 drill bit. 1.1 each reads .5 ohms dual
