Hello friends,

Its been 21 days i have stopped Analogs and started with E Cigs. First 2 weeks were very good and there was no problem at all. But now since last few days I have started Coughing a lot, and even first 2 days i was suffering from fever. And also cold.
I used 0mg Kiwi Flavor of FeelLife. I don't whether its because of vaping or Flavor or something else?

Is this something serious? Because lots of Cough is coming out from mouth and when i do cough cough its all dry.

Should i continue with E Cig or not?

Please help me with this..

A few weeks after i quit smoking i started coughing and grey phlegm started coming out. Doctor said it was mucus that used to protect my lungs from smoking and now that i quit smoking, lungs did not need this anymore and just started to push it out. Im not saying it is the same for you but i suggest you have yourself checked or it might be you are just getting sick. GL bro.

The cough may not be a problem, it's pretty normal. However the fever suggests infection, so it's possible you may have a secondary infection from all that accumulated mucus.

On the other hand, one of the classic symptoms of cigarette withdrawal is a "flu-like" cascade of symptoms, and when I once quit "cold turkey," I had them all - fever, cough, nausea, sensitivity to light, headaches, the whole gamut. I haven't this time, thank god, but everyone is different in how they respond to quitting.

I would suggest you keep a *close* eye on the fever, and just watch the symptoms; if the fever persists, climbs drastically, or won't decrease with standard OTC meds, then definitely see a doc.

And drink **LOTS** of water; you really need it with the vaping, and it will help both the fever and the mucus expulsion. You don't need to stop vaping, because smoking would be lots worse, if you really are sick -- but stay hydrated and then some!

PS: you said your cough is dry -- if you can get Mucinex, the kind WITHOUT dextromethorphan ("DM"), that will help the cough be looser and more productive, along with all that water, instead of just dry and irritating. The key ingredient you're looking for is Guaifenesin, it's an expectorant.

whenever i smoke with the flu i get a lingering cough that lasted like 1-2 weeks after the flue was gone. luckily i only get sick once a year

im not a doctor and no doctor will be willing to attempt a diagnosis online :p go see a doctor
This...^. I've never heard of a fever being a normal side effect of either quitting smoking or vaping.

Thank You Friends for Replying..

First of all, I had Fever for 2 days, But now No Fever at all. I got fine with normal medicine.

Now whatever is left is a Cough inside the body which is coming out frequently, like every Half an Hour.. Which I think is because of Quitting Smoking as u all said Lungs are getting cleaned..

About the juice, there is nothing written on the bottle like PG/VG ratio.. But i think thats not a problem at all..

And when i started E Cig, i started with 11mg.. And now just because of online delivery thing, by mistake i got 3 bottles of 0mg.. Now i will mix 11mg 3-4 drops with 0mg rest to fill the Tank, in which i don't have any problem.

So basically this cough is the problem due to Quit Smoking..
And to make things better, i have started Drinking Water lots from today itself.. N feeling really better... Will look for the Medicine Musinex.. I need to know the Drug in it, because I might not get the same Name Medicine in India. Will find out..

And moreover will start Vaping today.. As i am now tension Free.. Feeling good after knowing all this stuff..

Thank You all for Helpful Replies..

The drug is guaifenesin.

Good! Drinking water is very important, and I'm glad you are already doing that. The vaping can cause very dry mouth and throat. But the other issue you do need to look at is the PG/VG ratio. many people (me included) have a bad reaction if the PG is over 50% of the juice. I have a sore throat and cough if U use it, and it started to happen after two or three weeks. Otherwise I hope you do well and feel better!

It's Mucinex... like I said, the target ingredient is Guaifenesin. It's in a lot of cough syrups, but they mostly all contain some of the dextromethorphan, "DM," which is a suppressant, you don't want that; if you can find just guaifenesin, that's what you need to help loosen the cough (along with lots of water). In our Dollar Tree stores, they have some of this, called "Mucus Relief," and they sell it in both the DM and non-DM formulas. Guaifenesin is cheap and safe; it's even found in kid's medicines, so no worries.

I had the same problem with one of my orders, ordered 6mg, but it came as 0mg... man, was I steamed! :D

I've heard that, and some of us have an even worse reaction to the VG; it's so heavy. I have asthma and just can't handle that kind of heavy stuff in my lungs, it feels like a hairball I can't cough up.

Yeah actually We people in India don't get good quality E Jucie... Thats the basic problem... but now this time i have ordered from FastTech and the company is Dekang.. lets see how it works..

I have a friend in India who had the same problems. With him, it was just a phase. Stopped after a week to 10 days.
Its also possible that the quality of ejuice you smoke is questionable. Try switching to lower nic level or a different brand. That helped my friend. GL
