Coughing when inhaling

Hi. First post for me. I have read so much, yet I feel like I don't know anything. I bought the screwdriver, but only had it for a few days when the spring broke and the battery got real hot. Sadly..its on its way back to get repaired. I got a lot of vapor, but coughed every time I inhaled.
Today I took a puff from a coworkers smoking everywhere e-cig and it didn't make me cough. Any ideas why? Not as much vapor, but smooth.


Another question...I first put the battery in with the flat side towards the spring. I read later that the battery is suppose to go the other way. I also read it didn't matter which way it went. ?? I was noticing that it would stop working after about 8 drags, so I would switch batteries.
It really doesn't matter which way the battery goes?

And dripping. The screwdriver works best when dripping, yet I keep reading that dripping breaks things.

Anyways, I can't wait to get my screwdriver back!!!!

Me again...my coworker doesn't drip any liquids. Her carts are prefilled.
Maybe thats why?

I read about buying the glycerin liquid, but someone posted that it tastes bad. Anybody feel thats true?

Welcome to the forum...sorry to hear you're having troubles with the SD - but Trog will fix you up right...excellent customer service from that guy!

The SD has more power in it, so the vapor is warmer and a bit stronger...that's why you were coughing. Try taking "baby sips" with it until your mouth and throat get used to the drier vapor.

The PG in our juice is a humectant - it draws moisture out of available sources (like your mouth and throat) and into itself...that's another reason for the cough. You will adapt. It took me a good week/week and a half, before I could hit things first thing in the morning...

Thank you Vicks! And I LOVE how you show your "LAST ANALOG" smoked date. DIfferent than other who show the days.
Thats why I was so disappointed sending back my screwdriver. I want to STOP smoking and START vaping!!!!

I just thought the day and time were ironic....my last day equaled my last time as a smoker.....I'm just guessing about the seconds, of course...

I was equally jonzing to start vaping...and haven't looked back since....make sure you have back-ups available so equipment failures don't get you down.

In a pinch, you can always go to the classifieds here, and grab some used gear...someone's always selling something...

Funny you mention "back up". I ordered the prodigy right after I sent back my screwdriver! But now I'm waiting for them both. I thought puresmoker was caught up with orders. Guess not.

By the way....my daughters birthday is 3-10

Well, there you go. I quit smoking as a special birthday present for her...

I've got a Prodigy on order, too...I just can't seem to STOP buying gear... I'm hoping next week I'll get a shipping confirmation...but until then, I've got the stick and the Kissbox to get me along.
