Hi!
Still new to vaping here. I've been vaping along with smoking my analogs for a couple of weeks. I am having a horrible time with coughing. Don't know if it is the "throat hit" or what, but when I actually inhale about 1/2 time I end up having a coughing fit. I currently have an 808 and am using clearomizers. I plan on getting an Ego Twist very soon. I have tried a variety of juices, PG only, VG only, combo.....nicotine from 16mg-24mg. I have read and read and watched videos about how to inhale but I am not getting the hang of it. I enjoy the flavors of vaping but this coughing is making it hard. I have read some of the posts here but not finding anything to help yet. I know it needs to be a slow inhale, etc. Some say VG is better, etc. This is my second attempt with vaping and I really want to make it work this time. Will the flexibility with the Ego Twist help? Any other suggestions on the inhaling?

Do you put the vapor in your mouth first, then inhale, or draw directly to your lungs. I would recomend the first. Also I find that sometimes high vg% juice does'nt have much of a throat hit, but it seems to tickle my lungs and make me cough.

Edit: When I first started vaping I vaped between the cigs I had left till they were all and I would cough every time i vaped until I stopped smoking the real cigs all together.

hi, I would suggest you lower the nic level and up the vg, at least while you are adjusted to vaping

Nic = Nic lvl and throat hit
PG = enhances flavoring and throat hit
VG = mutes flavor and throat hit but adds vaper

Also make sure you are drinking enough water. I had the same problem while I was still smoking til I started making sure I stayed hydrated and started taking small puffs the first couple times to let my throat get use to it, then I could inhale fine

ok well two things will help you out:

1) when in inhaling pull slowly and with little force. if your 808 is a auto battery practice pulling just enough to light the led up. now dont do a direct pull into your lungs. inhale into your mouth first then slowly into your lungs. also you dont need to hold it in for long as the nic is trans-dermal and can be absorbed just by inhaling into your mouth. its seldom i inhale into my lungs unless im stress vaping

2) drink plenty of water then when you think you have drank enough drink some more. vaping is something that to tends to dehydrate people with out them realizing it. also part of that coughing could be your lungs trying to clear everything out that the nasties have left behind. so drink more water will also help flush out alot of the toxins your body is harboring.
