I use a company based in Ireland for a 50/50 PG/VG nic base, prices probably more than you have found there but I've never had an issue with the quality of the liquid so I'm not complaining.

Give it a whirl. I started mixing menthol only, then RY4, then cheesecake, strawberry etc. Single flavours at about 5%.

Started blending flavours now, with mixed results (excuse the pun). The cost savings alone means I don't cry my eyes out at binning a 30ml batch if I get it totally wrong.

Jump in, it's worth it. It's addictive mind, I'm constantly tinkering with liquids.

:D

I've mixed with Flavourart, Perfumer's Apprentice, Hangsen, Capella, Mom & Pop's and most recently T-juice as well as several Inawera flavourings and although many people like the Inawera ones I found them the hardest to get right. But I mix mostly tobacco blends which is likely to be the reason why. Inawera's tobaccos I find a real acquired taste. Easiest to mix and easiest to like for me was Mom & Pop's. Good luck with your DIY mixing :)

I have quite a few of the M&P ones ...have you found CV's recommendation of 10-20% and a 2-3 weeks steep work out pretty accurately? I have all the base & nicotine liquid ready but haven't had time to actually make any yet!

Yes, I mix the M&P ones at 10%, my favourite one was Praze for ages. Which ones did you buy? For me, the M&P ones don't need all that much steeping time, I find them good after 5-7 days. I mix Hangsen's at 7-8%, though in the Hangsen thread on ECF many people recommend less than that. Inawera concentrates only a tiny amount of concentrate is best. This was how it first went wrong for me with Inawera mixes, I used too much, then later found that I didn't like them very much either.

I was pretty nervous when I started mixing, mostly it was a fear of handling the nicotine. But it soon gets easy and I've managed to accumulate a lot of different flavourings over the last couple of years. I also like baking so if I try a sweet/dessert or fruit flavouring that I find I don't enjoy vaping, I put it in the food cupboard to add to cakes instead :)

Is that just the flavouring or including the mixed batch with nicotine? :p

I'm just picturing in my mind someone making a 12mg RY4 CAKE haha

I threw one or two in the basket each time I placed a repeat order for the ready made ones, so have accumulated a bit of a collection:
Pchela's, Yum, Keswick Coffee, French Lace, Butterfly, Coffee Cream, Raspberry Tart & Black Cherry Dream.
I also have some One on One, FA, FW, TPA too.

There are some I got to enhance other ready made ones I have, and some I intend to make into DIY liquids. I also have some menthol & Koolada.

I'm not a keen cook by a long way, but I do like food.
Not really worried about using the nicotine.

Pchela's - love the Poison, don't care for the 5-Layer. The Butterfly I have to be in the mood for which is about once a week. I haven't tried any of the others you mentioned. If you like Raspberry though, the Capella Chocolate Raspberry is fabulous, their plain Raspberry is quite nice too. I wouldn't mind trying the Black Cherry Dream you mentioned :)

I used menthol flavours to get me off the cigs, then went off it after about 6 months. I mix it for a friend though, so always have some in my box, also in case of colds and flu it's quite useful! I've never tried Koolada, but have seen it mentioned around the forums quite a bit. Decadent Vapours make a few things called 'Ice' this and that and I've tried a couple of those, I wonder whether Koolada is a similar thing. Decadent Vapours make some great concentrates.

Well I do make a Victoria Sponge with Maris Piper spuds (grated, they replace the fat)... so say no more ;)
Really! ...who knew!

My Pchela's is the 5 layer ..not tried it yet though (nor most of them). Butterfly I thought could mix nicely with perhaps things like caramel.
I had a weak Raspberry one so put a few drops of the Raspberry Tart in it and it did improve! Same with the Black cherry, but can't remember what I put it in. Think it would be nice in with a chocolate!
I'll have to remember the Capella Chocolate Raspberry! I'm yet to get a raspberry one that I really like, so that's why I got a couple of flavourings.

I used to smoke menthol cigarettes 50% of the time, and although I don't need the tobacco taste, do still like the menthol. It can be added to quite a number of things successfully.

The Koolada is good for giving a true coolness to something such as an ice cream type. Chefs Vapours do it and it makes a very pleasant difference ..only a drop or two to a mini Protank are needed - you just use it to suit personal taste. It can also be used to make something like a cold drink effect such as iced lemonade etc. Plus the obvious: works very well with menthol with or without tobacco flavour.
Chefs Vapours do two Vapetto ready made ones: Strawberry and Mint chocolate - both very good! Proper ice cream flavour with the waffle cone! I use the Mint Choc Vapetto a lot (not heavy on the mint either).

CV's have also recently added 85 new flavourings called 'Rebranded Range' ..some look interesting!

I used to smoke menthols all the time.

I don't find tobacco eliquid tastes anything much like tobacco smoke, though that may be partly because I only vape all-VG mixes, which sweetens everything and gives many tobacco flavours a caramelly taste, to me anyway.

I do notice many new e-cig users complain that their tobacco flavours don't resemble the taste of smoking, for me that's a good thing though!

I only use VG too - I get bad problems with PG!

I can't say I've ever had a true tobacco taste from anything either, and I agree, probably far better we don't.
I like the RY types ..one of my favourite mixes is CV's RY with their Confusion ..lovely :)

Had a few very nice tobacco/menthol ones too.

I've never tried that one, actually I only tried a few before I settled on the DV one. I discovered very quickly how different mint was from menthol and avoided mint after that.
I took a look at the Menthol Special Blend, but the eucalyptus put me off. I prefer straight menthol.

I did mix the plain fresh mint from LT with the menthol a couple of times and it was quite nice - not at all sweet. I don't much like sweet menthol.

When I first bought the DV Special Blend Menthol, it was from their old site more than 2 years ago and there was no mention of eucalyptus then. I seem to remember the description saying it was a mix of spearmint and menthol. I guess, unlike you, I like sweet menthol, I don't like it very strong though so would probably enjoy Koolada more now.
