Could this possibly work as a universal passthrough?

Below is a quick image I put together. The idea is that I make a stock of wood and make it the shape and size of an 18650. Add some metal caps for connections and solder on the usb cable. I want to make a passthrough that I could ideally put in any mod that uses an 18650.

yeah it would work but, depending on the device you might need to modify it so there will be a place for the wire to go through.

Yeah. More for the idea of the device. I was thinking for box mods that didn't have the option built in.
