Quit smoking (1 1/2 pack a day smoker for 25 years) and began vaping about 4 weeks ago. Funny thing is, the nic cravings only really hit AFTER the first week and then I began chain vaping for 2 days. Now I've settle down to about 2 mls a day w/ no effects @ 24 mg. One evening, I went night fishing and discovered that I didn't have any liquid with me....Left it at home!!!! So I'm two hour away and there's not a liquid supplier anywhere who sells retail. I start thinking about buying some Blu or some other "refill" carts from a local gas station and just squeezing out the liquid to fill up my own carts. Decided against doing this for various reasons and decided to fall off the wagon and buy a pack of Marlboro lights for the first time in a month. Let me tell you, I took that first drag and my first reaction was "Gawd, this tastes awful." Actually tasted like a dirty ashtray. I couldn't believe how much my taste buds had changed. Only smoked 2 cigs and threw the damn pack away it was so bad. Just wanted other people to know, there is a BIG difference between vaping and cigarettes. I would find it difficult to go back to analogs now.

I had the same reaction after about 2 weeks of vaping. The little ecig batteries that I had gotten were becoming a hassle to charge constantly, and I was waiting for my mod to arrive. I smoked an analog on the way to work one day and couldn't believe how awful it tasted. I smoked less than half and tossed it out the window. I think about that each time I have a craving for an analog, haven't had one since. Worst taste ever...

AMEN TO THIS THREAD!! We should sticky it just because.

I had a battery issue with my blu about a week after I started back in March. I still had, and have, spare analogs for emergencies, so I went outside and smoked one. It was SO BAD!!! First of all, I'm used to massive vapor clouds, and the regular cigs didn't have that. I'm used to great tasting "tobacco" flavors and fun sweet flavors, the analog didn't have that. I'm also used to NOT VOMITING when I vape, and I damn near lost my lunch, so the analog didn't have that either. I was absolutely amazed how bad the regular cig really was.

I think that everyone who's been vaping without a regular cig for at least 2 weeks should suck it up and go smoke a marlboro red, or whatever their usual brand was, as a deterrent!!! Once in a while I'll forget my PV or the battery will die on the go and I'll need to suck it up and smoke an analog, and it SUCKS!!! All the more reason to keep vaping or quit smoking entirely

Talking about the SLEEP. My wife told me I snore a lot less also. I'm not sure if its the weight loss or not smoking but vaping has been a very positive experience for me.

Got the same thing about the snoring from my wife. Analogs must do something to the airways to cause the snoring. I haven't snored as much since I've been analog-free.

I smoked for 20 years, until I quit 4 years ago. Even after 4 years, it was a struggle- I still wanted one every day. Every 6 months or so, I'd break down and have one- and thought it tasted wonderful. Had a stressful time about 6 months ago and fell off the wagon. Been trying ever since to quit with no success- they were just so good I couldn't make my self stop.

Decided to give these fancy battery powered e-cig thingy's a try.

I got my Riva 510 on Thursday and started vaping right away (didn't even wait for the initial charge). I had 3 analogs left in a pack, and I wasn't even tempted to have one.

Last night, I was out and my penny pinching side said I needed to smoke the rest of that pack. Lit the first one, took 2 drags, and tossed it and the rest of the pack in the trash. YUK.

Now, even after being off smoking completely for 4 years, they still tasted good to me. After 3 days on my Riva, they taste horrible min comparison. Why would I even want to smoke one of those foul, dirty tasting things when I can use a clean tasting e-gig? It has all of the "good" tobbaco flavor, with none of the icky stuff. (not to mention the health benefits)

Now to try new flavors! (at $.39/5ml I ordered a BUNCH of stuff from Honeyville Vapor!)

Dude, buy yourself a backup or three!

Cruise the classifieds or wait for a sale and buy 1 or 2 well-priced PV's to keep as backups.
There's no real reason to smoke an analog if you don't want to, the budget PV's are all over the place.

I bought 2 nice Box Mods and 2 big batt models, all at used prices.
The only one I paid full retail for (and it was on sale) was my first starter unit.

I'm vaping on one of my spares right now because the Box Mod is upstairs sitting in the garage.
It's so easy just to grab another one and roll, haha!

Just sayin'...:)

I had a guest over for the weekend and told her that I now have a no smoking policy. So...I pulled out my E9 backup and told her to feel free to try this...even inside! Now she is back home and was smoking an analog...just got a text asking about those great tasting ecig because her pall mall's taste like crap:)
