GG is a patent.

Some people here start making similar devices.

A factory in Japan starts making GGs.

The best way to avoid these issues is to update always your product but you cant follow the copiers all the time. Maybe the best way is to start pressing charges. I will make huge money without doing anything. Nice idea, dont you think?

It is sad and unethical that people are copying your design, but The sad reality is he can't successfully sue them. Having been involved in patents before, his patent most only be provisional(based on the current time frame) at this point.(i'd have to run the patent id with the greek obi to determine) Even if his patent does/is approved by the OBI, it will have no international bearing and would not hold up to court. Greek law is very clear, in pertinent part- Part II General Disposition of Article 5 which lays out many of the requirements to get one's patent approved-
"An invention shall be considered as involving an inventive step if, having regard to the state of the art, it is not obvious to a person skilled in the art"
Unfortunately, his invention is very obvious to anyone skilled in the art. It is nothing that someone skilled in the art wouldn't consider very obvious. Furthermore, A negative ground switch consisting of a spring and brass rod is not patentable, even when combined with an aluminum tube to hold a battery. There are many expired patents covering these type of switches and like devices. It is also not unique in that it relates to an ecig, as that device has already been patented.
Even if the Greek obi does approve his patent application it will not hold up under interntional patent law and the patent laws of other countries(in which case, you would have to bring the suit in the country for whom the alleged patent violator resides, which have far more stingent requirements then Greek law)
It is sad downfall to patent law.

Don't worry Imeo the clones were likely not designed with such attention to detail, shininess and beautiful design as GG, have such a great leader with great warranty, fast shipping and great service as you and Tim Also our 18650s will always fit the GG Transformer just as the CR2s do!

Now that I have my new 6 volts charger I feel as if no PV will ever beat GG!! Superb hits, new , safer less chinese charger, 3.7 volts AND 6 volts - heaven! Transformer just around the corner, new anodised body, make it big, make it small, make it huge and powerful with 18650!

Does GG stand for Greek ..... I can't believe that grown adults can grovel to someone who is patently a con artist, or at least he is to anyone with half a brain. One moment he can write perfect English, grammatically correct, the next.... Why on earth you don't go back and read the drivel you've written escapes me. Patent! People are copying it! Murphy, I own an SD & a GG. I bought my SD as a Christmas present for myself & it has served me very well for over 6 months. However, (& apologies to Trog) I can see from the construction of it there are parts that could either break (as other have found out) or deteriate over time. Mainly the button & the spring. Most of you will have come across a torch with a completely ceroded spring due to a leaky battery at some time.

I am also not saying the GG is perfect - in fact I was one of the unlucky ones that received a badly scratched GG & within the first week I killed 5 901 atomisers with it But when it works ( & I am hoping that will be more consitent when I get a 510 adapter) it's fantastic

I firmly believe that Imeo is NOT a con artist - far from it He has not only created something that will not break when dropped but he also does deeply care about his customers. And BTW the GG design is very different from the SD & is far from a copy.

It's taken me ages to type this as I'm trying to find the right words to not offend anyone. However Murphy, I really just can't understand your attitude & what you are trying to gain from your post?
