Hey guys,

So I've been going along great with my Reomizer, but the silica wicks I am using seem to not do well bringing out the flavors out of some of my juices. I think the more heavy flavored juices are working fine, but some other fruity complex flavors seem to be much more muted.

I am going to buy some DMC 5 cotton thread that I have been referred to and was wondering if the cotton HAD to be a white color? Apparently the Michaels in my area are all out of the white thread BUT they do have "ecru" DMC...? Would that be a problem? I am reading that ecru is supposedly the color of cotton before it is colored and I am thinking it won't be a problem.

Second, I bought a new drip tip and it doesn't seem to fit nice snug on my Reomizer, it kind of wobbles around (not too much) slightly and was wondering if there was any quick fix to that issue. I have another drip tip (ming) and it fits nicely, but it seems like the base of my new one is slightly smaller and is more loose.

The ecru cotton would be fine. The white is more likely bleached. So ecru is natural!!!

You could try some dental floss around the ring of your drip tip. If you have a fatter o-ring from another tip that might work as well.

Thanks for the quick reply nerak!

As soon as I saw your post I went out and bought the thread. Though I'm a little worried that the ecru color has some kind of coloring done to it because I'm getting a funky initial taste. It goes away after about 1-2ml but it definitely is bothering me. Should I just boil the thread to get rid of that taste?

I would boil just about anything. Lots of threads, yarns, materials, wicks have some sizing in them. I boiled mine twice. Freash water each boil. Wanted to do three but was in hurry.

Thanks! I'll definitely do that... Do you boil ALL of the materials at once or do you just boil like a certain amount at a time? How long should I boil them for?

...also what is sizing? Is that some kind of chemical?

Yes, Wiki explains it good! Sizing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I would boil for around 10 minutes for thread. Dump water and rinse and boil again.
