I have read some posts stating that when you double these up there is a risk of them exploding.
Any info or experience with this is appreciated.
Thanks

It is not CR2. It is unprotected Li-ons in general. There just have not been protected versions of CR2 available.
Low risk but risk none the less.
Also i wanted to comment on Detonator Rob Not only are cr2's fussy to Use......His mod's he puts them in are so unsafe Crappy half a**ed Mods and obviously he had a short in it and that caused them to discharge rapidly thus swelling happened then BOOM batts explode
His mod is the worst ugliest thing i have ever seen lololol he is lucky he did not get hurt worse
The Tenergy Batts are the ones to use in my book..!!! Tenergy RCR123 3.0V These are LiFeP04 Protected. they last, slow drain, protected..!!! 750 Mah they also make
a lion 900mAh
Well I guess a one month test proves their safety.I've used LifePO4 and a couple Ultra Fire CR2s for a month without any problems...but I did finish my 'fog log' double barrel today and drilled 8 1/16 holes on the bottom cap just in case, but I don't expect any problems.

The current demands of even a single Joye atty push the LiPo's far beyond their rated spec.
